Does anyone use a metal edged acrylic ruler? I use my zero centering rulers all the time (have 6, 12, and 18 inch ones). I'm thinking about getting a metal edged acrylic ruler for when I use an X acto knife to make cuts. Do you like it? Recommendations on a brand? Thanks.

I have a Tim Holtz acrylic ruler (I think it's called his Design Ruler?) that has metal on one edge for cutting - it also has piercing guides along one edge and one edge is marked as a centering ruler. I like it - actually own a couple of them, but that was back in the day when it was a good thing to purchase with a 40% off coupon at one of the craft stores

No complaints!

I love the Tim Holtz clear ruler as well. I have at least 3 (that I can find)

I also have the TH ruler. I have 3 of them. I like them because they do not have that extra 1/8" at each end, so it fits my Scor-Pal for horizontal uses. What I don't like is the markings that rub off. I wish they would either etch the lines or laminate them inside.

My ruler is all metal. I bought it from a hardware store, and it's more precise than acrylics. If you look for one, avoid the ones with a cork back from the stationery stores. You want it to lie flat on your paper for straight cutting.
