I am going to start posting on Wed evenings so I don't get all busy and forget to post on Thursday mornings! Challenge for this one... Use Ribbon! Ok, that's too easy... how about also making it open differently than just your typical fold in the middle. Here is a little inspiration! Attachments:

Thank you for the card challenge, mel . Your card is lovely, and your flag banner well done. I needed a Halloween card for a little one. My hope was the outside would look all friendly and then open the doors to reveal a BOO!. A step gramma can dream, right?   |

This was a fun challenge, Mel, and I appreciate that it was simple but different. Your card looks great, and I have to admit that I took my inspiration from yours. i liked where you placed your fold. jjpeapea, your Halloween card is really cute! I love the spook inside, and it’s a great jack-o-lantern on the front. The ribbon element came in handy, since I couldn’t get my card to stay closed without it….  |

Oh man, those are so fun I love the way the pumpkin Jack is covering the whole front of the card and spanning the fold. I'm sure the little one will love that, whether they like cute or spooky |

It feels like spring! Love that you echoed the patterned paper with your flower tag. It looks like your ribbon and bow are very functional, and the whole design makes the card look like a gift I'm sure someone will be very happy to open that up. |

Apologies for all the belated and disjointed replies on this thread! Your card is lovely, very warm and pretty, and it has lots of details I enjoyed zooming in on. Is the little die cut banner opening functional to keep the flap closed? I think that's what I'm seeing and wow, how clever is that? Very fun card. I will try and play along with this challenge before the month is out! |

mel, thank you for this challenge. I love your pretty card and love the design and the ribbon. I love interesting folds in making cards. This one is wonderful. I didn't use this design, but will in the future. Thank you. jjpeapea, I love your Halloween card. The surprise of the ghostie inside is perfect. Very fun. scrapnnana, your card is beautiful. I particularly love that ribbon slide to hold the ribbon in place. Great choice of papers. iowagirl50147, your papers are absolutely perfect for a Halloween card. I love the variety of script, stripes and dots. Love the sentiment card and the bow. azcrafty and grammadee, you have love in the gallery. grammadee, love the belly bands and ribbon. nylene, beautiful! Just the right amount of embellishment for your pretty paper and your ribbon looks great. gramma so many cards!!! And they all look so cheerful, fun, colorful and nicely made. I've used those tiny dots before, mostly to do a flap on a container. That was a good solution for a flap to stay down.

grammadee, cute, cute cards. The penguin and snowman are adorable. nylene, that is such a pretty birthday card. I love the loop attached with a brad instead of the traditional bow. It really stands out. gramma, the idea of using velcro is brilliant, and your birthday cards are lovely.
