My first two challenges were “Outside the Box.” This one is easier, and definitely “inside” the box. Make a collar card (example below), but attach the front piece with the “collar” just on 3 sides, forming a pocket. Have something climbing out or to pull out that is a little surprise. To make a collar card, you cut a slit from the center of one side to the middle. My slit was 2 inches. Fold back to make the collar. I used foam tape under the collar flaps. In my example, the owl has a witch hat, but you don’t see the broom until you pull out the moon topped tag, and then you see that a gift card is attached to the tag. The twist is to line your envelope with a matching paper. You just cut a rectangle to the size you need, then trim the sides of the flap. Mine isn’t perfect. I just used scissors to do the trim (definitely old school). Here are a couple more examples. This one I posted on my blog back in August: And this is one that I posted two years ago for CARDtober as a dimension challenge: I hope you have some fun with this challenge, and I’ll look forward to seeing what you create!

Thank you for the collar challenge scrapnnana. Your examples are so well done. I loved the idea of using the pocket space for a gift card, and I needed a gift card for our very nice letter carrier. How lucky that my chipboard die set had an envelope image?

Thank you, jjpeapea, and thank you for participating in each challenge. You did a great job with your card. The papers you used are really cute, and I’m glad you had an envelope cutting file. It does make things easier. For some unknown, possibly stupid reason, I never remember to use my cutter for envelopes.

scrapnnana, your cards are phenomenal! So many cute ideas with this type of card. I have never tried this, but loved doing it. Thank you for the challenges. You are the Queen of interactive and unique cards. jjpeapea, I love the colors you chose for your card. Those minty stripes are so cool when turned out into a collar. I loved your idea of the little tag and I scraplifted that. Here is mine: This is a birthday card for my DD and the gold tag pulls out with a special note to her so I didn't photo that. I love the look of lining the envelope and usually don't think to do that. Collar card

nylene, yes the tag will attach to a gift card. The card is so deep the gift card is totally hidden inside. Love your pretty paper. iowagirl50147 so cute how the boo just peeks out.

nylene, thank you. You made a lovely virthday card and tag, and I’m sure that your daughter will appreciate it. I think using the tag to pull out a sweet note is a wonderful addition to the pocket. To be honest, I rarely think to line my envelopes, either, but I love the look. Yours turned out perfectly. iowagirl50147, your Halloween card turned out really cute, and I’m also a fan of googly eyes.

Not sure how...but I almost missed this one. Love your cards scrapnnana and a great idea for a gift card. jjpeapea you used some beautiful pp. Love the ribbon addition. nylene this card is so pretty and she'll love it. The pp is special and the foiled accents makes it even more special. Here is mine. I wanted to make a shirt card and than I was trying to think what should go in it. So this is what I came up with. I have a family member who had a bad year so it goes to him . The 'hair' is gray cheese cloth cut up into tiny pieces. 20211101_104607-01 by Azcrafty, on Flickr
