A while back I was questioning whether or not to add a wall and Kallax shelves to family room. I decided against it. I barely got through the whole project, when dh said "I am dividing the room". Huh? I , could, just , scream. Hell yes. If I am going to live through the torture of tearing apart whst I just got together, I am getting those shelves and a room that I love.
This just better be worth it. It has been almost 3 months since I have Scrapbooked anything. This is pure torture.
I just did the shower curtain rod, with the id badge clips and moved my papers into ziplock bags, hanging nicely . Torture! I'm taking it all down. Starting all over.
I cannot believe this.
Thanks for hearing my vent and pray that I end up with a room I love.

I can relate, most of my stuff has been packed up for THREE YEARS! I started getting things packed six months before we moved, and we moved 2.5 years ago. I was supposed to get cabinets, shelving, etc. put in right away and that never happened. Now it finally is coming together but it has been a long time in coming. I know it will be so awesome once it's all done, but getting there has been driving me insane. I'm trying hard to stay motivated!
Hang in there, it'll be great when it's done. And hopefully it won't take you nearly as long as it's taken me!

We moved into a rental for two plus years, and finally bought a house and closed on it last month. My scrap space got new carpeting this week, and DH moved my IKEA shelves and my desk up there today! I can unpack! Christine, you're going to love your Kallax shelves. It'll be worth it, I promise

It sounds like it will be worth it when it's all done. Fingers crossed it happens quickly!

Home projects always take forever for us. I hope you get the room you want in the end, and it will be worth it!

In the scheme of life it is no big deal and I am feeling very lucky. I just miss, especially after all this reorganizing , doing an actual project. The holidays are a busy time, and life gets so messy even without construction. We did a half bath over starting black Friday of last year and did not finish it until almost New Year's. I think I have PTSD. Lol!!! I kind of am prepared I guess. I finished my Christmas shopping or a good portion of it. In preparation and in case this ends up taking longer than dh anticipates I went on Pinterest this morning and pinned some very simple Christmas cards. I am going to put some supplies aside to make some. I'm going to assume the worst, because this room redo is splitting 1 room into 2 rooms and replacing and adding furniture. I feel better just speaking sbout it and rethinking since dh's announcement yesterday.

After the work is complete, you will survive by the way . . . look towards to finished project and a wonderful room. Remember you don't have to have it perfect at the first go. Enjoy the journey, and come back and update us if you have time!
