I clearly need more whimsy in my life because I've been finding the doodlebug collections way more appealing lately than I ever have before, despite their style not really being a good fit for mine. The outdoors line is not at all my thing but I like several pieces in the Christmas line, including the advent paper, the snowy scene on the b side of this paper, the outline drawings on the b side of this one, and the journaling cards on this paper. I'm also rather taken by the critters on the shape sprinkles. I doubt I'll actually buy any of it, but it makes me happy to look at it.

My first reaction when I looked at the outdoors line was "once you have one doodlebug fall/halloween/christmas/summer line, you have them all" because the colour palattes are the same.
Then I opened the christmas line and was pleasantly surprised with that light light mint colour! I love looking at it, but I really don't need more Christmas.
I also struggle with the cutesy of Doodlebug - love looking, don't love using.

I also struggle with the cutesy of Doodlebug - love looking, don't love using. I feel the same way. However, I do have a sheet of the vellum from the Patriotic Picnic collection that I'm holding onto. For a title page idea. For a trip that we haven't even taken. 🙈

I don't usually do Doodlebug but I am really liking those tag papers and the ones with the journal strips... I will definitely add bits and pieces of both lines to my cart.

I haven't looked closely but I'm hoping to win something in their Instagram giveaway. I don't know if I will buy much. I think it depends on how many cards I make with the collections I already have. I might make some winter greeting cards but I don't usually use the lines that are more obviously scrapbook intended. But who knows - they do make for fun easy cards for me.
But they included and Sasquatch and a narwhal, I'm totally in love with those, and may have to get stickers, die cuts, or doodlepops if they have those guys on them.

I love the Outdoors line. Cute critters. Great camping and autumn images. Love that sheet with the journaling cards with the pieces perfectly shaped for slimline cards. Also, these colours work well with alot of my fall lines. Did you see the S'mpre collectible pin? My dgs would love that! And is that a BISON I see? There will be a herd of them inside the new fence going up on our property this week.
I don't mind a little pink and cutesy for Christmas cards, but the Let it Snow is a little over the top in both.
I had kind of ignored Doodlebug for awhile, because it seemed too cutesy, but I have huge FOMO about their crafting line with all the cute little images, then I picked up a few fall diecuts that I love, so now I am paying attention again.

These don't interest me at the moment. The only Doodlebug line I have liked is the Special Delivery, where cutesy is OK because it's a baby line. I do like their puns, though. I also can't get over the fact that like someone said above, their color scheme is literally always the same.

I also can't get over the fact that like someone said above, their color scheme is literally always the same. I totally get that, but for me it also makes it REALLY easy to mix and match items from different years. If I have a little winter collection paper left from 3 years ago it will go perfectly with some new ephemera which is a big selling point for me. I can buy cardstock to stretch leftovers from an old collection any time I need to. Not everyone's cup of tea, I know. After a few years it can feel like there's nothing new. They need another punny collection. hopefully in 2022! I don't mind a little pink and cutesy for Christmas cards, but the Let it Snow is a little over the top in both. Their Christmas collections have a more traditional palette for Christmas cards. The winter collections are always sickly aqua, pink, and purple and very cute - I use them for winter cards that I don't want to be strictly Christmasy, for donating where people might not celebrate Christmas, or for cards to send in January when I didn't get around to Christmas cards. It can be a fun break from the traditional Christmas colors. I might use their winter collections for snowy fun photos taken in Jan-Feb if I made that kind of thing.

The s'mores shape sprinkles are really cute. I wish they had an option without the smiley faces. The tree sprinkles are cute and would be great for Christmas layouts, too. I can't figure out what the brown yeti looking guy is supposed to be? And because I have zero restraint when it comes to both outdoors and Christmas collections, I will probably buy a little of both

I really like the paper in the Let It Snow line that has the floral on one side and mint plaid on the other. I will probably pick up a few pieces of both lines because I can't resist the cuteness, but I honestly need more Doodlebug like I need a hole in the head because a lot of their stuff looks the same.

I have a bunch of hiking layouts to make. I have no use for the images with the bigger animals, but that squirrel doodlepop will be going in my book for sure!

I kept thinking about doodlebug, and another reason it’s not my cup of tea is that the designs are usually icon size very packed together. Yes’m they usually have some versatile designs like plaids and stripes, but even their dots are super packed together. I’m on my iPad so I cant link an example readily, but a typical page design for them is a bunch of (insert small icon here) just repeated over and over on a 12x12 page.

Gah - the Let It Snow Tis the Season paper has a typo. The Santa round has "You" instead of "Your". I wonder if anyone's notified Doodlebug.

I find some of those a-sides hard to use too, even for cardmaking.

I emailed Doodlebug about the typo. Do you think they'll be able to correct it and redistribute?

Gah - the Let It Snow Tis the Season paper has a typo. The Santa round has "You" instead of "Your". I wonder if anyone's notified Doodlebug. It looks like they accidentally included an early draft image of this paper in the files provided. We confirmed that the final version that went to production doesn't have the typo - we'll get the image updated as soon as we can get the right one.

I apparently don’t pay enough attention because I’ve never seen a fall/camping line with those light colors, so I really like that. The outdoors may be all warm colors, but the people and such in it are not! Especially when kids are the focus of a lot of photos. So I can see myself using a lot of the papers. But the cute embellishments aren’t my style.
And I live in SouthCentral Texas so most winter lines are of no use to me. Boooo.

I've definitely been loving brighter lines lately and I think it's because of the pandemic. I've seen a lot of posts about hating all the rainbows, but I can't get enough.

I love the papers and some of the embellishments of the outdoor line - I'll definitely skip the cutesy animals for the most part.
I don't care for the winter line at all

I like that Doodlebug has so many "things" in their embellishments and not words.
I struggle using wordy diecuts and stickers, either because they're just not the right phrase or they're repetitive. In something like an outdoor collection, I can only use "adventure" so many times!

I'm usually not a Doodlebug fan. I did like the Special Delivery line because cutesy goes with babies, but most of the time I don't like their papers- I think for the same reason scrappyrabbit mentioned.
I usually love their embellishments and cardstock, though. I buy a lot of their enamel dots, gems, sprinkles, washi, etc. I will probably buy some of the die cuts, too. I also like that fact that they are mostly images, not words.
I am definitely buying the goat. One of my best friends is a goat fanatic so I can absolutely use that in a layout. The goat is the only "must have".

I really like the animals on the Christmas one, they're kind of fun and different. And the long skinny (I guess slimline almost?) journaling block shapes, that seems different. I could also just be very out of touch since I was frozen most of this year. LOL

Perfect for lots of journaling but with some smaller spots too.
