For Mondays this month, I'll be giving you a list of card "ingredients"-- measurements for all the paper elements you're going to need to put together a clean and simple card. Then, you can either assemble your card according to the instructions/photo, or play around with the arrangement as you see fit. I will be putting the card photo and any assembly instructions in a SPOILER BOX in case you would like to try assembling your card with just the ingredients. It also keeps my photos from taking up all the space on your screen until you're ready to see them. Of course, as with all recipes, you should feel free to make alterations, additions, and other adjustments as you see fit-- just try to make sure we can get a sense of the original in your creation. (If I'm making egg rolls, please don't make a chocolate cake. LOL.) As a twist/added challenge: break out those stamp sets that haven't seen ink yet! If you are not a stamper, then use some other supply that hasn't yet been opened-- a new paper pad, a new pack of embellishments, etc. If you are playing for points, grammadee has scoring instructions as part of the printable list. If you complete all FOUR of my recipe challenges this month, give yourself 31 bonus points, because why not?Cardtober #4 RecipeNote that all measurements are given as LENGTH by HEIGHT; however, this will really only matter if you use a patterned paper that has a specific orientation, so you may want to consult the recipe image before cutting. Measurements are imperial; if you need them converted to metric, let me know and I will get out the magical conversion calculator. This card is an A2 (5.5" x 4.25) vertical card. I recommend selecting patterned paper first so you can more easily coordinate your cardstock and base. Ingredients* 2.75" x 1" patterned paper (A) * 1"x 4" patterned paper, times TWO (use the same paper). (B1/B2) * 1 11/16" x 2 15/16th" patterned paper (C) Note: you can alternatively cut this to 1 5/8" x 2 7/8" if 16ths are a problem. When you see my card, you'll see why I wanted it so precise. If you are not precisely recreating my card, it probably won't matter much.* 2.75" x 1" white cardstock/focal panel (D) * A2 card base (E) * 4" x 5.25" colored cardstock mat (F) DirectionsThanks for playing along with my challenges this month. I hope you've enjoyed them!

I have loved all your recipes, Eddie-n-Harley. They have all been fun. I want to try this one without cheating and looking at the spoiler, but I don't guarantee it...

Thank you for the recipe, Eddie-n-Harley . So fun! I was really close! Now that I see your card, I like the spaces between the strips so much better. My awkward little strip above the sentiment sticks out to me. And I kind of had yours mirrored. I do like the sentiment on the right better.

Eddie-n-Harley , this is the first time I looked before I cut the pieces. My pieces had a directional print and I didn't have much of it so I thought I'd better know the direction the pieces would go. This is a fun design and I'll use it again. Your card is very pretty with the watercolor print. Thanks for this and all the challenges this month. Let it Snow
I used a new stamp that I got from the SCT prize package.

jjpeapea, I love the color you chose. Is your little deer a punch? I love it.

I totally peeked. It’s a good card design. I may have to use this one again sometime. I loved your versions, Eddie-n-Harley, jjpeapea, and nylene. And I’m glad to know that I am not the only one who peeked. Here is mine:

scrapnnana, I love your beautiful card. I almost used that same lilac paper, but I didn't have a good cardstock that matched it. I love lilacs as they were my mom's favorite flower and we used to play among them when we were children. Love, love, love your card.

nylene I see you used the spoiler, just for fun. Your card is so pretty. The colors are well balanced with the pattern paper bold design/small design for this layout. I have a deer die that punches out 6 tiny deer. You probably guessed he wanted to match the paper but also kind of cover an awkward intersection. scrapnnana So pretty! Your papers made the most of this card layout. I like the sentiment on the strip of pattern paper. I never think to do that. azcrafty Wow, that is different, all the layers. Your moth embellishment adds so much interest. I love your pink, black and gold combination for this card.

azcrafty, your version is stunning. I love your winged insects, but I also think your version is very creative and visually appealing.

I don't think the strip above the sentiment is awkward; it works quite nicely to set the sentiment panel off just a little bit. Love your paper choice here-- the reindeer are adorable!

I used a new stamp that I got from the SCT prize package. That's a pretty snowflake die, and I love the tree paper! Do you remember who made it (the paper)? Smart twist to add embellishments in the top strip.

I think that crescent moon is the best accent!

I just had pieces of it in my scraps.

Eddie-n-Harley, I just found the branding strip and the paper you asked about is BoBunny Little Wonders. The dark paper is the reverse side of the trees.

Loved, loved this recipe. So much I made six cards. Woo-hooo!! Paper was from a freebie 6x6 pad from a crop last year (?) Think t was Echo Park.
(Forgive the terrible picture. Cloudy/gloomy days make picture taking hard)
