Hello crafters! I'm keeping this challenge easy. I want you to use as many different types of papers on your card as you can. You can use cardstock, vellum, foil, simmer, velvet, watercolor, chipboard, sticker etc. For the twist. Did you know that you can use a regular ballpoint pen to heat emboss? You might have to try a few pens to see which works better. But after writing or doodling on paper you can sprinkle the embossing powder on it and then heat it up. You have to work fast and maybe in stages. Here is my card , I used 6 kind of paper plus a plastic sheet. The little stars and dots are my twist. 20211025_231848 by Azcrafty, on Flickr Have fun!

Wow, that's beautiful. I had no idea you could heat emboss with a ball point pen. I'm making Christmas cards so I might be able to do this one. I think I have some shimmer and glitter paper, foiled cardstock and vellum. I might be able to find some more bits and pieces (but no promises I will get around to any of it! I'm really behind.)

I know, I was very excited when I learned this trick. I wish my handwriting would be nicer. I would emboss sentiments in hungarian for my family. I might try my personal message with this in the inside, if is doesn’t work out I can always cut the front panel off 😆

azcrafty your card is so pretty and so nostalgically Christmassy. Thank you for the multi paper challenge. Here we have cardstock, patterned paper, foil acetate, window sheet, vellum. I LOVE the ballpoint pen heat embossing! Such a nicer line than my embossing pen with the squished felt tip. I will definitely use that in the future. Thanks for that technique. This card was heavily influenced by grammadee . I am still dreaming about her Hero Arts dies but I replicated the effect by making a cut file. And I like her placement too, as you can see. Her cards were one of my favorites of CARDtober and this card is one of my favorites.

jjpeapea , that is so sweet to say! I love your cut file. If I were talented like that I would not have to purchase so many dies! I also love the music background and the simple tree & greeting to support that delightful shaker element. Thanks so much for all the fun techniques you have included in your CARDtober challenges, azcrafty . And all of your cards are a wonderful inspiration, with or without the technique. There is love in the Gallery for this one.

azcrafty, your card is absolutely gorgeous! I’ll have to try that ball point pen embossing trick at some point, but today was not the day for me. jjpeapea, your card is wonderful, and I love the sheet music background, as well as the shaker. Here is mine. I used 7 different types of paper (patterned paper, plain card stock, corrugated card stock, metallic card stock, shimmer card stock, glitter card stock, and mulberry paper). The bow is 3D.

scrapnnana So pretty. You really used so many different things, wow! And without making it looked cluttered. I hope you've had CARDtober fun meeting the challenges in creative ways.

Thank you, azcrafty and jjpeapea. The snowflake die is from the Christmas Jar shaker card kit by Queen & Co. It was the perfect size, and I really like their dies. All the dies I used are from them. Before COVID, I bought very few of their products, since they are geared toward shaker makers, but I have bought far too many die sets from them ever since the shutdowns. They are so versatile for card making. I have no affiation with them, unless throwing too much money their way counts.
