For my last interactive card challenge, I am giving you a relatively easy one: make a rocker card. A rocker card is a circle, folded in half, then decorated. It does actually stand up, but it also rocks back and forth easily. Here are a couple of examples that I made: I decorated the one on the right with a shaker, but that is not required. However, if you do add a shaker, give yourself an additional 15 points. The twist is to emboss the flap of the envelope with an embossing folder. It’s an easy way to make the envelopes match. For the bottom sample, I used a plaid embossing folder, to go with the plaid paper. You may want to choose your embossing folder first, then match your decorative paper to that. I hope you have fun with this, and thank you to everyone who participated in my challenges!

Your samples are adorable and I love the twist idea! I typically make my own envelopes so I can use coordinating patterned paper to match my card. Using a plain envelope just got a lot more interesting!

Thank you, Ryann, and I’m glad you like the twist. I often make my own envelopes, but I also have a stash of ready made envelopes that I like to dress up a bit in different ways, too.

Those rocker cards are really cute, scrapnnana! I used to have a kit for making these for baby cards. But they look like even without a special die they could be created by folding a circle... Thanks so much for all of your creative samples and fun challenges this month. Kept us on our toes!

Thank you for the rocker challenge scrapnnana . I appreciate you giving three examples to show all the possibilities. All three are cute. Your challenges have pushed me exactly right - do something interesting but not unachievable given my skills. OK I won't use this envelope and if you have any suggestions how to put a 5x7 envelope flap in my 6 inch embossing machine, I'll try again. But I wanted those last points for sure.

jjpeapea, I love your rocker card with the shaker. There IS a way to emboss the envelope flap for a 5x7. You need to put the flap in from the side (so a non-directional patter works best), then fold the flap closed, still with the flap in the embossing folder, and position it so the 5 inch end goes in first. I hope that makes sense. It adds a slight crease, but if you mail it, the recipient will probably assume the crease is the fault of the post office. iowagirl50147, your Christmas rocker turned out really cute. The chipboard accents are a nice touch, and I love the star button with the twine bow.

Your rocker/shaker Christmas card is really cute, azcrafty. Rocker cards are quick to make. Shakers aren’t too bad, but making 60 sounds a bit daunting to me. Good luck on getting them all done. I’m sure they will love them.
