What was your… - first dance? - father/daughter? - mother/son?
… And if you were to pick again today, what would you use? Feel free to hit me with recent winners or throwbacks!

“When I Said I Do” by Clint Black and Lisa Hartman Black. Yes I’d pick it again.
“Unforgettable” by Nat and Natalie King Cole for father daughter. Not sure if I’d choose it again.
We didn’t have a mother son dance.

Our first dance was All About Our Love by Sade and 1000x I’d pick it again. It summed up our journey to marriage perfectly.
My dad passed way before my wedding and my husband had a very strained relationship with his mom so we did a sibling dance. We all danced to Orange Sky by Alexi Murdoch. IMO it is the perfect sibling dance song if you’ve been through a lot of hardships with them.

We had Groovy Kind of Love for our wedding 25 years ago. That’s all we had, didn’t have anything too formal so no Father/daughter etc. I actually don’t think I’ve been to a wedding in many years that have had the traditional “set”. I was uncomfortable enough doing one dance with everyone watching one song let alone several.
If I did it again, I wouldn’t have any formal dances.

We danced to I Believe in You and Me, Whitney Houston (From the Preachers Wife) I danced with my Dad to a Kenny Rodgers song, Through the Years. I don't remember what my husband danced with his mother to, May have been Sunrise Sunset.

This is bad but I can't remember what the song was. (I could look in our wedding album but I'm lazy this morning.) What I do remember is that DH insisted that we dance a real dance so we picked waltz steps as that is the easiest thing you can do. And I still messed it up! I have no musical talent whatsoever and I can not do dance steps no matter how simple.
I suppose it is a cute memory yet I'd rather just slow dance to pretty much any song I'm not going to remember 20 years later.

Just the Way You Are by Billy Joel for our first dance. Daddy’s Little Girl for father/daughter. This one I would change. I said no to it and the dj played it anyway. At the time we got married it was the traditional song and I hated it. Through the Years by Kenny Rogers for mother/son.
When my son got married last year, they danced to Rumor by Lee Bryce. He and I danced to Child of Mine by Carole King and she danced to My Little Girl by Tim McGraw. She came down the very long aisle to If I Ever Saw Heaven by Roan Ashe and DS just told me that he tears up every time he hears it now.
