I'm thinking about giving envelopes as my holiday gift for my cardmaking buddies. (We do a small exchange in December.) Does anyone have a favorite vendor on Amazon where they buy envelopes?

I don't buy from amazon - there are just too many options there and I'm uncertain of the quality. I buy from clearbags.com. They sell to individuals as well as businesses. No free shipping but their quality is reliable. I love the Basis envelopes. They're really nice - quite thick.

I got this last year I really like it. Limited Papers(TM) A2 Envelopes, White Color, 32/80 Text (GSM 120), Smooth Finish, Gummed Sealing, (250) www.amazon.com/dp/B07WHJV8T6/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_TCC4YTZS2SECP9967J1H?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1This is a nice one too. I like that is self sealing. The color is more a grayish white. 100 Pack, Size A2, White Paper Envelopes | Self Sealing Adhesive| Perfect for Weddings, RSVP, Invitations, Baby Shower,Greeting Cards,Announcements, Thank You Notes| A2(4.375 x5.75 Inches) www.amazon.com/dp/B07QYP2PQ1/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_82B8BGFX24Y1KKQSJ38D?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

I second joblackford’s opinion. Such a pleasure doing business with them. Shipping is also very quick, even during holiday season & covid.

I’ve recently fallen in love with Cardstock Warehouse’s envelopes - and paper and cardstock and customer service and how they don’t charge shipping for full-sized samples. They’re a family business, and the two times I called them with questions, we were on the phone for a long time (not that they prolonged the conversation) - just the nicest people and gorgeous paper and envelopes. www.cardstock-warehouse.com/envelopes: www.cardstock-warehouse.com/collections/envelopes-shop-allI like making envelopes and just purchased some of their text weight pearlescent papers to make slimline since they don’t make those envelopes yet. Oh, forgot - if on a device and you swipe on thumbnail photos of products, if they have a project they made with it, it shows up. Assume clicking when on a computer works too. You can see the full size project if you select that particular paper, of course.

Thanks for the ideas. I forgot about Clearbags. I did get a bunch of bags from them to store my cards and cardstock. I just asked for some samples and hopefully they have the colors I want.

ClearBags update! I ordered 150 A7 envelopes from ClearBags on 11/13. Had them shipped “Economy”. The slowest & cheapest way to ship. NEVER expected to get them before Christmas, let alone T’giving! They arrived in today’s mail!!! I love this company & am so grateful to Joblackford for telling me about them last year. I’m going to be a customer for life!

I agree that Clearbags is awesome! Especially since they will send samples. Last year, I got several samples of bags to store finish cards and ended up buying a few hundred to share with my cardmaking friends. I ended up buying envelopes from paperandmore.com (thanks jediannie) since their going out of business prices were less. Haven't received my order yet so I can't report on if I did the right thing...
