Happy November!
Our townhouse is finally under construction. I can't wait to scrapbook in my new place. I will place my desk right under a large window with a view of a wetlands. I have never had my own space before.

We were supposed to see a bit of the Northern lights last night which is rare for where we live. It was just a few flashes, nothing amazing, but my neighbor's tree was lit up by their outside lights. Definitely going to scrap this one.

I have such a busy month! I'm starting off with a visit to my mom out of state to hit a few Fall craft shows and just hang out. Then I have a 4 day crop retreat and a 2 day crop. That brings me to Thanksgiving. Not cooking much this year as daughter in law wants to take it over!
Basically I see endless photo opportunities which translates to endless scrapping of said photos.
I love the Christmas season but the fact it is 30 days away scares me! So much to be done between now and then.

How exciting to have your own space with a view, @mikklyn! Gorgeous photo, refugeepea. We often get northern lights over the winter. Best way to view them is if you can get out of town and into the dark. I have never tried to photograph them. Sounds like a busy month, myboysnme. I am heading off to see family this month too. Hoping to pack a scrappy go back to tag along with me. Have registered for two SCT events, but will be away for one of them. Glad that all the classes are recorded and will be available on line.

I bet you're excited for your own room Mikklynn!
That's a beautiful photo refugeepea. Seeing the northern lights is on my bucket list, I've been far enough north but always during summer. We were supposed to be in Finland for Christmas this year but with our international borders only just opening up we had to change our plans. One day!
Our weather is definitely in spring mode, it's 29 degrees today and absolutely beautiful outside. I'm determined to tame my garden this year so I'll be spending a good bit of this month outside trying to get all the weeds and overgrown plants under control.

Today I ordered October 2021 photos.
And 114 photos of my (recently deceased) mother, during all stages of her life. Right now my father can't bear to look, but I wanted to have them available for when he can. I'm the photo taker, so I know I have the majority of the pics in my files.
I tried to organize the layouts in progress that are on my shelves. Slid them all into page protectors.
I organized the pile of stickers/embellishments that were on my desk, back into their gallon sized Ziploc bags.
I noticed I haven't scrapped any of my kids' birthdays this year, so I placed those page protectors, along with the zippy of birthday -themed embellishments, on my desk.
Yesterday I received an e-mail notice that Echo Park's Animal Kingdom was available, and I bought the 12x12 collection kit, the 12x12 solids, the enamel dots, and the ephemera pack.
Also two dinosaur 12x12 sheets, and two pandemic 12x12 sheets (that I'll use as title pages for my pandemic albums).

Printed the pages I have for my 2022 family calendar. Just need to do November and the cover page. Waiting for some hockey pic's from my ddil so I can wrap that up... Got the notice today that the Pioneer albums I ordered are at the post office. Hope to pick them up tomorrow. Now I will have albums and page protectors for the whole year. Should I start putting pages into protectors now? Caved and ordered some Spellbinders dies in their BOGO sale. I am supposed to be buying for OTHER people this month! My nephew's wife called yesterday and we arranged for her to come over here Friday evening to make cards. Hoping to get alot of Christmas cards done then. i need the shoemaker's elves to drop by my scrap room to finish up some projects and clean this place up!!!!

Today I scrapped.
I did September's pandemic layouts, which included my family's covid scare (thankfully NEG). I included the CVS paper bags (lunch size) that the self test comes in, layered onto the background of the layout.
I've also decided that my Pandemic Albums will be mostly finished once my youngest kids are vaccinated. I will probably include major newsworthy things after, but won't feel compelled to do monthly layouts.
I scrapped two layouts for one of my kid's birthday.
And scrapped three of the five layouts for another kid's birthday.
Also scrapped my senior's first day of school.
I made a point of using lots of embellishments.

I finally have an opportunity to play today and I have a few scrappy orders of paper to choose from 😁 Last weekend I ended up making myself an organizer for emphemerea/sticker sets from specific collections. I wanted one of the SB.com ones but paying the exchange and shipping wasn't fitting into my budget so I built one out of white foam board for ~$7. I'm super happy with how it turned out!

Surprised myself and scrapped a little today again. Nearly finished 3 layouts.
Used up two partial sticker sheets, both of music notes.
Used a bunch of enamel dots.
I'm hoping tracking on my scrapbook.com order is true, and that I get it tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to seeing and using my new zoo collection.

My preorder from acot has finally shipped. I’m so looking forward to getting SS Hearth & Home into my hot little hands. Cozy, homey, and fall themed collections are some of my favorites.

Tracking was true, and I received my order this morning.
Echo Park's Animal Kingdom is gorgeous. Just absolutely lovely, such rich, happy colors. I'm so glad i bought the collection, solids, enamel dots, and ephemera pack.
I already placed the two covid19 papers, one in the beginning of each album, as the title pages of my Pandemic Albums. Very glad I did. Love how it looks.

I played around with a metal gnome die yesterday and it took way too long to assemble. I think it turned out cute though! I also did a planner spread.

I tend to shy away from my fiddly dies with lots of pieces to assemble, then am always so happy with the results when I do put it together.

I'm struggling to be as productive as I need to be this month. I need 48 hours in a day! Attended the virual scrapbook event on the weekend, and was introduced to travelers notebooks. Fun, cute - and I would like to keep one in my purse/bag for quick recording, list making, planning. The covers were SO expensive tho (kit came with inserts, no cover) so I made one from a youtube tutorial and a pair of ripped jeans. Needless to say, making a travelers journal cover was NOT on my list of important things to get done in my precious time. Oh well! Seeing the Northern lights is on my bucket list too. Chinagirl828, would love to know why Finland was your destination? Family? Curiosity? The SS Heart and Home wasn't on my list, but when I got a closer look at the papers, many of them ended up in my cart. I haven't pulled that trigger yet. I don't need more paper. But it's so pretty!

I opened up Animal Kingdom and started a layout today. Love how it's coming together already.
I hope to continue later today, or tomorrow.

Seeing the Northern lights is on my bucket list too. Chinagirl828, would love to know why Finland was your destination? Family? Curiosity? I've actually been to Finland before, but only to Helsinki and I'd really love to get further north, especially to Rovaniemi to visit Santa's village. The plan for this trip though was thanks to my sister. She's celebrating a milestone birthday and our family decided we would all gatecrash her trip, all doing our own thing in Europe then meeting up in Finland to celebrate her birthday which is just before Christmas. She has a friend who lives in Finland which is why she chose it.

I've been scrapping away, trying to make a dent in my zoo photos.
I can easily see myself killing the kit collection soon. I don't know why I thought the amount of papers would go farther. It's so hard for me when all the papers are double sided, and I have to choose which side to use. Especially with the cut aparts.
I wonder if I'm especially liberal with the enamel dots, or what? Love them! Absolutely love them! But I use several on each layout. That pack won't last long.
About a couple weeks ago my youngest comes home very excited from school and told me he has something special for me to scrapbook with. He pulls out a sheet with emojis, two of which are zoo animals. Yesterday I made a point to use paper punches to make embellishments with those emojis, and add them to a zoo layout. Now it has two good memories attached.

LavenderLayoutLady, I love that your child brought you the paper to scrapbook with! That is really sweet and meaningful for his book.

Worked on more zoo layouts. Album is starting to look like it's filling up. I'm thinking I might need a second.
I was proud of myself for starting to be more selective about the photos I use. Just because I printed them doesn't mean I must use it on a page.
I might put away zoo stuff for now, and dip my toes into Halloween. I have a 6x6 Echo Park paper pad that I bought on a whim to use. And a whole mess of stickers from the Dollar Tree.

I'm not that strong! I realized that each page didn't need four pics of the animal, and that two good ones would do. People shots though? Those are harder to cull.

With the exception of a few cut aparts and a few stickers, I used all of Echo Park's Animal Kingdom. Loved it!
Maybe thinking of finding another zoo line to continue my album with.

Sometimes I think it's easier to see which is the best photo after they are printed and in front of me. I definitely agree with this. I've been working on editing and resizing photos this weekend and there have been a couple of times I've decided to print the same photo in two different sizes, and there have been a few photos that I've printed knowing that when I make the page they won't all be included.

So, I just may have placed an order this morning.
Might have bought Carta Bella Zoo Adventure, both the pattern paper & solids.
Might have also bought a bunch of enamel dots.
Oh, and double sided tape. But that's a necessity.

I finally had time to sort my Shutterfly order and my fall photos turned out great. I love love love scrapping fall photos. My grandchildren are teens now, so they are generally past the age of wanting to go to the pumpkin patch or zoo. This year we did go to a pumpkin patch/corn maze place, so YAY!
