grammadee , last night I tried to reply to a private message thread, and it said that I was not allowed to reply, even though I was a group participant in the message, and had replied multiple times before. This morning I tried to reply to the Scrapbook Generation thread, and I got the same message, that I was not allowed to reply. Both times my reply disappeared completely. Both times I tried a second time, and it worked. I checked each time, and I am signed in.It’s weird, annoying, and time consuming to have to rewrite my reply. I tried to create a thread asking about this just a moment ago, and it said that I do not have permission to create threads here. I tried again, and this message posted. I don’t know if anyone else has had this happen, but it only started happening last night. What is going on?

Are you posting from your phone? For the last two days, while moving through threads here, the website changed to the settings as if my account is logged out. I have the theme set to green (because peas!) instead of the default blue which is the only reason I noticed the site is acting weird. I’ve learned when it happens, I used the back button on my browser and it seems to remember I’m logged in.

I am going to tag admin. I have no idea what happened. I have lost responses before and I know how frustrating that can be. But if I am logged in, I don’t get a message about permission. |

I wonder if there’s something going on. I’ve been getting the annoying “gateway timed out” message when I try to post. When I check the thread it actually did post. Very weird.
Oh - and it was in my iPad but not my iPhone.

Definitely appears to be a board issue and possibly just a mobile issue, too.
I haven't had any of these problems while using a Mac, only using an iPhone. Just kidding! It happened now while using my Mac!

It’s not consistent. Sometimes when it happens, it has logged me out, and other times it says “error” but this board is definitely having some issues. I have never had this problem before last night.
And just now, it said that I was not allowed to reply to this thread, even though I was logged in when I wrote it, and started this thread!

It logged me out. When I tried to log in, it denied my email, my password and my user ID -- all odd since my computer remembers all that stuff (I don't since the computer does!) I had to Captua' that I am human - with teeny pictures I really can't see - twice!
I denied me entry - then a couple of seconds later, moved into "General" and I was in.
So -- yes -- the board has been weird this morning!

I haven't had any issues lately but have had the random logging out here and there at times. And for a while my laptop would lose its connection randomly and I wouldn't know until I hit reply and it disconnected, so if I wrote anything longer than a few sentences I would try to copy the text before I hit reply... nothing is more frustrating than trying to write a long reply again when it disappears into the ether! (That was a connection issue with my machine though - it would happen on all kinds of sites.)

I'm on Android and use my phone exclusively. It's been logging me out s lot the last couple of days. I've wen to reply to something and noticed that the button is gone and then I realize that I'm logged out.  |

I've been having weird issues for the past few days - suddenly the site shuts down and I'm at a McAfee screen. Not sure if McAfee is targeting the site with adware? It's only happening with this site, so I'm pretty sure it's not my browser/computer. And it happened on both my computers too. Maybe some people have better blocking software than me, and don't get the McAfee add, but it still bumps them out of the site? I've lost SO many half-typed replies!

admin, can you contact ProBoards? or is this a problem we should be reporting to Pro Boards when it happens? Hard to do that when we are randomly locked out, though...

I'm also not getting any notifications from subscribed threads or I get them VERY delayed...like 5, 6, 7 hours after the most recent post. Weird.

I just got the ‘you may not reply to this thread’ on this thread and another one. When I tried a second time it was fine.

I haven’t been logged out, but have been getting the “not allowed to post” message regularly for several weeks. I just refresh the page and it works fine. I’m exclusively on my iPhone.

It seemed to be doing better, but today the same thing happened again. I was logged in, posted a reply, then decided I needed to clarify something, so I edited my reply. After making my corrections, When I tried to submit the edited reply, I got the message that I didn’t have permission to post.
This is really frustrating and annoying.
