I just read about this today (on Twitter, of course), and I was shocked that anyone would pick a fight with Big Bird, of all people (creatures?). Good ol’ Ted Cruz. You can always count on him to do something repulsive.  |

He apparently felt that his name wasn’t in the press enough lately to pull a stupid stunt like this. Maybe Texas will have another deep-freeze no-power day or two and Cruz can jet off to Cancun again. He's just jealous that birds can fly south for the winter without getting their hypocritical mugs in the news. |

Hating on PBS programming has been a fixation for a segment of the right for some time. Genuinely, I do not get it. I wish I could have gotten my kids into Sesame Street! (None of them liked it, and/but I'm pretty sure it's how I learned to read.)

They detest things done in the 'public' interest that are not 'for profit'. Why should there be a network of TV stations and programming done *GASP* NOT for profit!?!?!?!? Maybe if they watched more Sesame Street when they or their children were young, they would be better able to read all the science behind the vaccines and not be so irrationally afraid of them. |
