It was 29° overnight and today it’s still freaking COLD! I can feel the chill settling in my arthritic feet, ugh. I think we’ve hit that point in the year where you wake up one day and realize it’s only going to get worse from here for the rest of the year. I hate that day, LOL. If I didn’t have a million other things to do, I swear I would really like to just crawl back under my covers until spring! I guess the silver lining is that at least there isn’t snow on the ground here (yet). Anyone else freezing their butt off today? 🥶🥶🥶

I wish! It’s fricking November and Southern California is going to be in the 90’s on Thursday, Friday AND Saturday! I’m so over the heat!

Me! It was -1C when I woke up his morning, and it is still only 7C now, at 4pm. The worst thing is that it has been really foggy here, so the cold just wraps around you. Yesterday and today I had to walk early, as I had to be at school by midday, and I knew it would be too dark when I got home, so I had to wrap up in gloves, hat and coat so as not to feel too cold. Being out on a playground with the kids for half an hour was not fun. But then again - as you said - the snow hasn’t started yet and the ground isn’t frozen hard.

-13C/9F plus a light wind here this morning. High of 2C/36F and sunny. Only a light skiff of snow. Everyday without snow is a good day, keeps the roads clean. And every sunny day in blah November is a good day!

Sorry it is so cold for you! Hugs!
Our night time temps are in the low 50’s, which is cold for us, but this weekend our daytime temps will be in the high 80’s/low 90’s. Sigh! I thought we were done with the heat. But, it is a Santa Ana coming through.

Not yet, but I will be by Friday when the high will be in the low 30s. It was cold a few weeks ago and I was cold...almost made me wish I was in a hot flash stage like I was for a large part of last winter!

It’s cold (26°F/-3°C), and it did snow here overnight. In fact, I’ve already had 3 significant storms, and have probably gotten 12-15” of snow so far.

My Pickleball group is vowing to stay on the outdoor courts as long as we can. I thought I’d be indoors by now (not a fan of cold).

We’re in the middle of several days of a gorgeous Indian summer in central PA. Things are going to change by Saturday though, so I’m soaking all this in while I can.

Sorry We are at a perfect 58 this morning for my run. Supposed to be low 60s later. Ahhh, nice! We had that just before Halloween and it was so nice that so late in the season. Too bad it can’t last a little longer here! Last year we had 8”-10” of snow around October 15th, so I’m happy we’re not there yet.

We have the heat on so it's nice and warm here. I've had the heat on since the end of August! Regularly since mid September. We have the thermostat set for 70° year round. The heat only turns on when when it gets cold enough inside to trigger it, so it’s been cycling on and off for a couple months here too. It’s kind of nuts to live in a place that pretty regularly gets up well over 90° in the summer but can get down to -20° or even -30° in the winter! 🤪

If it's cold in the house I want the heat on. Typically our max temp is 30C/86C (except for this summer's insane record breaking heat of 40C/104F) and winter will bring -45C/-49F. I wonder why no one lives up here?! Haha! We like that though, we say "cold weather, keeps the people out".

Ha ha, don’t I know it! It was so hot all summer and then it was even pretty decent right before Halloween. I’m telling you though, with a now middle schooler (which means getting up at 6:15 vs. 7:30! Cold! Dark!) and a bus stop half a loooong block away, even that +29° seeps straight into my arthritic foot. 😵💫 I’m sure I need surgery but I’m trying to hold off until next year due to the $7500 deductible so I hobble along. I know, I know, I could send my kid off to the bus alone but I feel bad that she has to lug her 20# backpack, a second 3” zippered ring binder full of other stuff she needs (no hallway lockers are being used at school this year) and several days a week her band instrument too, so I like to go with her to help her haul all that crap at least to the bus stop. The poor kid looks like a pack mule. DH and I take the dogs too, and once DD is on her way we usually walk the rest of the one mile route around the block which feels less and less awesome the colder it gets! Like I said, I think I hit that sad turning point day when I know it’s only going to get colder and darker and more miserable from here on out. I’m getting soft in my old age, LOL. It feels like the older I get, the less I want to deal with 5+ months of dreary cold winter weather! Minnesota weather forecast: Nov. Dec. Jan. Feb. Mar. Apr. May🥵 Jun.🥵 Jul.🥵 Aug.🥵 Sep.🥵 Oct.🥵/

I like cold weather for walking because I just wilt in the heat. But today the wind is blowing so hard, I just got back from the cat's acupuncture and I put my pajamas and big robe on. I am done leaving the house today!

The Santa Ana’s are here! High 80’s and low humidity. Went out at 10AM and it already felt like an oven. I would like some of the cooler temps the rest of you are having.

The high today was a balmy 38°! And OMG the wind makes it a “feels like” temperature of 29°. 🥶 Thank God it’s warm in the house. I’m about to turn on the oven and bake some cookies and then I’m not leaving the house until I have to take DD for her Covid shot tomorrow at 10:00 am!

It was beautiful in VA today, i walked the dogs in a tank top and birks and spent a few hours reading outside. Doors and windows have been open all day.
Im dreading the misery that is heading our way though. I dont like being cold at all!

Surprisingly, even with the heat our AC hasn’t gone on. I guess the night temps in the 50’s helps keep the house cooler during most of the day.
