I’m thankful. What they did was horrifying.

I’m sure it will shock you that I still don’t trust him to do the right thing and leave them in prison. A high profile case like this? Would really get him votes with the MTG crowd. But I hope I’m wrong.

Great news! Maybe what it takes for a few eyes to be opened - this case was just terrible! May Ahmaud Arbery's family find a small amount of peace that justice was served while knowing it will never be enough for their loss.

"In the wake of his conviction for the murder of Ahmaud Arbery, a GoFundMe to raise money for the legal costs associated with William “Roddie” Bryan‘s appeal has been shut down, the Savannah Morning News reports.

On Monday, Amy Elrod, who is Bryan’s fiancé, created the fundraiser on Monday, but it was shut down a short time later.

“Shame on GoFundMe for cancelling Roddie’s fundraiser for his appeal,” Bryan’s attorney Kevin Gough wrote on Facebook Tuesday. “Friends and family of Roddie Bryan have set up a new account online, at Spotfund, to fund what are likely to be considerable legal costs associated with his appeal. The money is NOT for me. Not a penny. Please be generous.”

The fundraiser had only reached about $700 of its $300,000 goal when it was shut down by the platform. GoFundMe prohibits raising funds for the legal defense of a violent crime."

 I have been curious as to the sentences handed down today. Thanks to the PEA NETWORK I am now informed.

I occasionally believe in the death penalty when there is absolutely no doubt. Here we have no doubt because the neighbor filmed it. But these killers don’t deserve the death penalty (if it’s even legal in GA). They do deserve to spend the rest of their lives locked up, away from society, away from family, away from everyone except like minded individuals. IMHO being in prison for the rest of one’s like is worse than being dead. You are dead inside but your body is still alive. May they spend their time inside thinking about the heinous crime they committed. And May their families suffer as well, as the murdered young man’s family grieves.
