I've had a Wink of Stella pen maybe 6 months and have used it less than 5 times. The tip now seems harder than I remembered it, and the "wink" comes out in a skinny little line.
Is this normal?

I have several and have not had any dry out. Are you sure the cap was on tightly? If so, maybe you got a bad one....I love mine and use it all the time. Yes, it's supposed to come out in a thin line or just a small amount at a time. Be sure to squeeze the barrel lightly or else you will flood the chamber and too much will ooze out making a mess....ask me how I know.

Mine from last Christmas is still working like new... They recommend storing them standing up, with the tip pointed up... Not sure if that could be it?

I've had it on its side in my pen rack. I don't remember the tip being hard. I still get some glitter out of it but it made stripes in the Copic colored image. It wasn't a disaster but still, I remembered the tip being softer. I wonder if alcohol would loosen it up some?

I think I got a bad one because I never got it to 'flow'. I may buy another one and see if that makes a difference.

In one of Jennifer McGuire's videos, she mentioned that when your Wink of Stella runs out, you can open it and put more water in it. There is usually glitter left in the bottom. She said this extended the life of her pen. I haven't tried it, but it might be worth trying it out before pitching it.
