Yes, we have two, but actually use them for his breakfast. It’s really slows him down, which is why we got it. We’ve never used it for treats, but I know he’d like it.

That looks fun, the snuffle mat you linked! Do you think a german shepherd could use it laying down, or does the dog need to stand? My dog can't stand, she needs toys she can lay down to play with.
What do you mean by soaking the food? I may have to try that!
My dog is 9 lbs and needs to stand. I would think if the dog had a long neck they could sit and use it. But the mat is a rectangle so your dog may have to move around to get to different parts. Have you tried the licky mat? That is a smaller square. I put the kibble in a little bowl and then soak it in water so it puffs up and is soft. Then I squish it into the licky mat with a spoon, or dish it into one of those puzzles, or into something like a Kong, and then freeze it. My dog, who normally eats out of a bowl in 30 seconds, has to take her time and work for the food. It’s good, especially on a rainy day when she can’t be outside as much. This tires her out. The wet food freezes easier. Sometimes I freeze pumpkin purée mixed with peanut butter (like small amounts - tsp size) into the Kong or on the licky mat and give it to her for a snack. It takes longer for her to lick it out because it’s frozen. She’s anxious and the licking is calming for her. It also uses up her puppy energy.
