I will be making a charcuterie board for a small gathering. Nut allergy and they don't like pickles/olives. What size of a board do I need for 4 people. The actual board and leftover/un-used food will be the gift to the couple. I have an idea in mind and am following the tastesbetterfromscratch.com/charcuterie-board/ for ideas. I will be making maple/chocolate drizzled bacon, homemade red pepper jelly and a veggie dip for fresh mini vegetables.

These are my favourite things, and some of the most popular when we've had a charcuterie board:
Camembert and/or triple brie cheese whatever other cheese you like, but the Camembert/brie are a must have! These always go first. different types of crackers quince paste / other pastes/jelly for cheese (my favourite is a fig and fennel paste) pretzels salami prosciutto ham kabana cherry tomatoes lots of different dips grapes strawberries (bonus points for chocolate coated!) cherries passionfruit halves Tim Tams or other chocolate coated biscuits Small Violet Crumble squares (chocolate coated honeycomb) Maltesers or other small chocolate balls

As little details I always like to have honeycomb and pomegranate seeds because that’s what I enjoy eating on fancy cheese.

We just did a charcuterie dinner a couple weeks ago. We had a variety of meats, crackers, some dips/spreads, sliced pears & apples, grapes, nuts, cheese, bread & dipping oil
I've seen people put together really nice looking spreads in a sheet pan.

A sheetpan wouldn't work in this instance as the actual wooden board is part of the gift.

I don’t see these mentioned above, but I like to have a fancy finishing salt and honey to drizzle.

Honey is a must on mine. I like prosciutto, a hard cheese, a soft cheese, and a goat cheese. I've really been enjoying the TJ's social crackers. I usually put something chocolate on it -- chocolate covered raisins are good.

A sheetpan wouldn't work in this instance as the actual wooden board is part of the gift. But it's a good guideline for the size that you want.

Something funny to me ...
We've always done what we call a "Snack Tray" It has crackers, summer sausage, cheddar cheese and Hiland Sour Cream and Chive Dip.
It's our simple Charcuterie Board. Now our snack tray has a fancy name! LOL

If you're going to use pesto, make sure it's nut free. Most pesto has nuts in it...which sucks because I love pesto.
I would also save the boxes from the crackers, because I wouldn't eat the crackers unless I read the ingredients.

I actually suggest keeping all crackers & nuts separate for any allergies or sensitivities. That way no nuts or gluten have touched the main parts Also I follow this IG for the artistry although I don’t mix my crackers in ever anymore. ( food allergies ) But none the less hers are beautiful instagram.com/ainttooproudtomeg?utm_medium=copy_link

I want to come eat at your alls house. I did a tray for new years last year (just my family) and no one touched it and I had to then clean up the mess. This year I'm buying one premade from Aldi and what we don't eat is going in the trash. (except the olives those are all mine )

I was in Joann's today and picked a couple of these Nordic Ware sheet pans that are a doorbuster deal. They would be great for gifting and a fun way to put together a charcuterie. I'm planning to put together a hot chocolate tray. I'm probably going to order a couple more to use as gifts. Nordic Ware panEmbossed Christmas tree pan

Our recent charcuterie dinner. Four of us did a little coordinating beforehand and it took us very little time to put together. We were proud of it. We just kind of grabbed serving items from our cabin kitchens that we thought would look nice.

There's quite a few charcuterie board FB groups that I belong to. I get more out of seeing their photos of the boards that they've made than in seeing lists of the food on them. Check out a few if you're on Facebook.
