I'd love to hear about what you're giving your teenage or preteen daughters this holiday season! Or maybe what your girls in this age range are just crazy about right now!

Preteen great-niece--I'm stumped for her. She went from wearing girly things to nothing but athletic clothing. She likes baking and crafts still, so we might go that route. I just don't know what yet. I'll have to watch this thread for ideas. DD will be 16 right after Christmas. She's getting new riding boots for Christmas, gift cards for the places she likes to shop, some good make-up, maybe a facial brush (probably not a Clarisonic though) and clothing - sweaters, boot socks (remember when boot socks were called knee-highs?) She's got all the techy stuff she needs/likes and still has lots of gifts cards she received last year for dining/movies/iTunes. For her birthday, I got her a pretty silver necklace and I'll probably get her a ring as well. And a keychain since she's turning 16. She is a voracious reader so probably a BN gc will be somewhere in the mix. Oh and I got her the Tervis with goldfish on it.

My DD is 12 and we have settled on giving her a beginner sewing machine. She loves to do crafty things, so hoping this will be well received. She already has crocheting supplies and does a very nice job crocheting. I think we might also give her some yarn for a project she is wanting to complete.

Dd is not very girly, but she asked for a lokai bracelet. It has elements from the highest/lowest points on the earth and is supposed to balance you. I'm skeptical, however it is under $20.
New sketch pencils, gouache, maybe a few new brushes.
She likes candles but that makes me nervous, so I think the perfumed oil will make her happy.
A vegetarian leather jacket (nicer term than pleather!), boot socks, a few dance outfits. And a few books - fiction, "wreck this journal", maybe one about writing tips.
That's all I got!

If your teen is into selfies, Bed, Bath and Beyond has remote controls/ stands for phones (an iPhone is pictured in the ad - I'm not sure how universal they are).

My 9 year old girl is getting a sewing machine from us. From her Grandmother she is getting this smoothie blender where you fill your flask with whatever you want in your smoothie, and places it directly on to the blender. And then you have smoothie to go She also has ice skates, baking supplies and craft supplies on her wish list.

That sounds like something I need to check out. Any idea on price? 24.99 in my flyer but I'm in Canada so it's probably a few dollars less in the U.S. I think it's called Selfie Snap. And, of course, they always have that 20% off coupon on the back of the flyer! (The stand doesn't look very substantial but having a remote looks fun!)

My 15 yo dd asked for a hammock chair for her room. I also just ordered her a pair of Beats headphones. These will be a surprise but hopefully a welcome one. She is going out of the country this summer and I thought these would be great for the long plane trip. Plus she can use them to listen to music while doing her homework etc.
For stocking stuffers - boot socks, a leotard (she's a dancer), maybe an urban decay eyeshadow set (although her sister might buy that for her)
Other things on her list include: a couple of new movies, iTunes and starbucks cards, PINK items from VS

I'm imagining short videos on sleepover nights for dd and her friends. The remote sounds awesome! I've never been able to find a stand for her ipad, she likes to make animated videos and tutorials, so this would be neat for her phone.

So far, the only thing I've picked up for my 12 year old DD is clothing. A few camis, a plaid flannel shirt, and a pair of jeans. I plan on picking her up a Clarisonic Mia.
I'll be watching this thread for ideas!

I just ordered some MukLuks from Steals.com for 17 yo DD. She only wants clothes for Christmas. I suggested the Clarisonic and she was horrified at the thought of getting an appliance as a gift. I'm also getting her some passive-aggressive gifts (her words) of things she constantly borrows from me and doesn't return - nail file, phone charger, etc.

Dd [HASH]1, age 15, is so easy to buy for ... I've gotten her a bunch of books ... including the previously mentioned "642 Things To Write About" because she is an avid reader and writer ... Some other things: - cute onesie - "Supernatural" t-shirt ... she's obsessed with that show - limited edition One Direction makeup that I managed to score at Macy's in the USA last week - lap desk - iPhone headphones Her "big" gift will be cash because that's what she wants Dd [HASH]2, age 11, is harder ... So far I've gotten her: - cute onesie - cool Little Mermaid t-shirt (not kiddish) - horse hoodie and long sleeved t-shirt ... she's totally into horses right now ... - Rachael Ray's kids cookbook - makeup that she can wear on special occasions - not to school I think her "big" gift will be a gift card to the local western store ... she really wants some cowboy boots

12yo dd is getting:
some owl themed things (t-shirt, mug) as she's mad about them Headphones Computer game Divergent & TFIOS DVDs Jigsaw Vouchers
Not very inspiring but she doesn't have any big wants this year & these are things she's asked for & a few other bits I've picked up.
She is also getting (homemade!) owl pjs & a Christmas doodling book on Christmas Eve & a stocking full of bits & bobs (nail varnish, cosmetics, underwear, bath smellies, socks, stationery & sweets).

My 12 year old is getting a new bed, sheet music, a game, a book, and a new school sweat shirt, I might get her something else but she is quite happy with just the bed.

leannec, I have a very similar problem buying for my two oldest... 13 yo DD I could shop for small gifts all day for. Seriously, I have to be careful not to overspend because it's so easy with her. 10 yo DD is much harder to shop for... not sure why, she just doesn't like stuff in the same way older DD does. And the things she does like (sculpting, art, Taylor Swift music) she already has almost everything she could possibly need. I'm also really stuck on big gifts for both of them.

My neighbor's daughters are 17 and 12, do you guys think Jamberry nails would be good for that age? I know they like nail polish. Also trying to decide if I should get the Jr size for the 12yo. She is very petite. CA angel

My daughters and I were invited to an online Jamberry nail party this week and they're all three excited about all of the different prints. This will be our first time trying them. The consultant sent us some samples, but we haven't tried them yet. We don't own a hair dryer, so we're going to borrow one to apply the nails. My middle daughter is 12. I'll see what the sample looks like placed on her nail tomorrow, but I think the Jr size would be fine for a 12yo. I'm thinking the regular size will be to wide. The deal right now is buy three sheets get one free. Each sheet is $15.

My 13 year old is asking for a laptop, boots, curling wand, infinity scarves, and clothes. I'm getting her a few basic makeup items as she has shown some interest in using makeup recently.
