I'd like to get my 12 year-old a new purse and I would like for it to be a surprise but she is particular about purses. I guess I am too. I think I'll just have to take her shopping one day and have her pick it out.
She will also be getting EOS lip balm (the collection pack from Costco), nail polish, slippers, books and a Google Play gift card.

DD 15 is getting a large bean bag for her room (that she thinks she's not getting because I've made such a big deal about how ridiculously overpriced they are), moccasin style boots (tom's), a small lipstick sized portable charger for her phone, clothes, got her a cute little Benefit makeup palette, a book or two, fun socks, a few pairs of undies and a couple of bras, a new winter coat (that she does not need, just wants), and an Ed Sheeran album (vinyl). She has asked for a purity ring (the one she has is big and bulky and just too large for her taste, so she never wears it). A few small $$ gift cards (starbucks, subway, claire's, iTunes), some candy, some pj's, some cheapie jewelry like from Aeropostale.
They both usually get a ton of clothes, but I am scaling back on that this year since we are going to DC 2 days after Christmas and getting theater tickets, etc and will spending a lot on that trip.
She is easy for me to shop for; DS is the hard one. He is a senior this year so part of me wants to get him some 'real life' items to help him get started once he leaves for college, but it's likely he will stay here at least two years unless he pulls some miracle off and gets a scholarship that we don't have on radar - so that seems like sucking the fun out of Christmas to me. He has expressed an interest in learning how to invest, so I was thinking about buying him stock in something to get him started with that, but I have never bought stock and do no investing at all so I'm clueless about where to start!

I have 3 girls ages 8, 12, and 14. The 8 year is getting a plasma car, cute boots, a new dance bag, and a subscription to American Girl magazine. She'll get a webkinz in her stocking, and grandma is giving her a subscription to boodlebox for younger girls.
DD 12 is getting a big art set with different paints and pencils, cute boots, snap circuits, and a subscription to Discovery Girls mag. She'll get a new ipod case in her stocking, and grandma is getting her a subscription to the boodlebox for older girls.
DD 14 is getting a lego set that she's been eying, cute boots (noticing a theme here? They all wanted "fashion boots"! lol), a subscription to kiki magazine, and a certificate to attend a teen writing camp in the spring. She has NO idea we are doing the last one and will be over the moon excited. She's getting a mini speaker for her ipod in her stocking, and grandma is getting her the ibbeautiful subscription box.
I also got all three of them their own "Wreck this Journal" along with some gel pens, washi tape, glitter glue, stickers, etc. I'm going to give that to them the first day of Christmas break though for something for them to do over the long break.
