This is definitely not something I would allow my brain to be annoyed by. She showed up and she brought something. "Thank you for coming, it's great to see you. We just started eating so feel free to join us once you are settled." Not even mildly annoying to me. I was thinking of how I’d word my reply until I saw yours. This is something that I would easily shrug off and not let under my skin. She likely doesn’t notice, doesn’t care, won’t change, wouldn’t change if asked, has never been asked anything different, sees it as part of the meal and not an appetizer, whatever. Use, send home, or throw out whatever’s left over and have one less thing to need space in your brain at the holiday! (join me on the getting more mellow as I age bench) |
