I chose not to do anything for November because I knew I'd join my local friend's holiday tag swap and would need to get those done and I wanted to finish my October album but alas, here we are on November 30 and I haven't done either thing. For me, too many projects is clearly one project.

I’m sorry, I hate feeling the pressure around the holidays.

I am just now starting to buy Christmas gifts. I buy about 40. Ugh. We moved recently and I am wayyyy behind. I am usually done wrapping right about now.

Awww... Hope you can find some joy in the things you HAVE accomplished, and in the process of doing the tasks yet to come. Some things I learned when I had cancer have stayed with me since. Sometimes I need to remind myself to do them, but believe me, they help:
1. Ask for help. If it feels like you are doing everything and no one else seems to lift a finger, it just may be that either they think you are loving it and don't want it taken away, or that they would just be in the way. Ask for help. Then explain how to do the different tasks. Or let them do the tasks THEIR way. Could lead to some wonderful surprises.
2. Take a nap. When you are tired, rest. No one cares if the cookies are perfect. They DO care if you are crabby and irritable. And no one wants you to run yourself into the ground. They don't need SuperMom. They just need Mom.
3. It's okay to let some things go. Delegate to others. Hire someone to do the dirty work. Buy the cookies. Leave out some of the details. Accept less than perfect. Focus on the JOY. Ready or not, Christmas will come.
Falling off my soapbox now... I am just now feeling a little less stressed about Christmas gifts. Did massive shopping on line. Took a second shopping trip to a nearby town today. Made a pretty comprehensive list between last trip and this one, the gifts are sorted and I am ready to start wrapping. Whew! (Need to have most of them on the way by this upcoming Sunday).

I am years and years behind. Scrapbooking makes me happy and content. It's my therapy. Not worried about it at all. It will get done, when it gets done.

It's a hobby, not a duty.
