It seems that everyone is very busy with holiday preparations, me included!
It doesn't help I've been under the weather, not Covid thankfully but a sinus infection.
Enjoy your month, and organization will be back in January . . . with the bonus NSBR being "Clean out the Christmas decorations" month for points earned in both December and January. You can accumulate as you put up Christmas or as you put it away. Basically it's for those of us who have boxes of decorations and some need to either be donated OR discarded. Keep track off your sorting hours!

Garbage day is tomorrow . . . perhaps I better crack some boxes and do some discarding!

Whew! I love creating pages and cards. Don't enjoy organizing anything. And I HATE REorganizing. But...
I am hoping to get some paper play into the next week, and I had thought I would use my SCT kit and my Fall 2021 photos to put some pages together. Starting after only a short break is always a bit of a struggle for me, and my surgery in early November plus Christmas prep has kinda siderailed my scrapping. Couldn't even contemplate scrapping more pages until I knew what I had already done.
Just spent over an hour getting my spring, summer & fall albums organized. I had tons of pages just stacked on the floor in a corner. My summer album was full, but there were quite a few more pages waiting to go in. To add insult to injury, my iphone decided to give me a new "Memory" this morning, of "Summer 2021", and I realized that there are still some MORE summer pages I had meant to scrap but didn't get around to...
So I moved a bunch of pages into the Spring album, a few into a newly started Fall album, and squeezed the additional pages into Summer.
Did I tell you how much I HATE organizing and reorganizing??? Wish I had purchased that bottle of Bailey's I had contemplated last week to go into my well deserved coffee...

I surprisingly like organizing. I do have a problem, though. I got a rolling cart similar to this a while ago, from a friend who didn't like it. Mine is JUST 12x12 though, and the drawers are not as deep. It sorta sat there unused until I came up with a good idea for it. I use it for my distressed solid atterned paper That backgrounds, and cardstock. There is one small problem. If I keep the branding strip/slug on the paper, it doesn't quite fit. And I want to keep the branding strips, both because sometimes they do have a pretty pattern on them, and because I want to know what company the patterned paper is from. That way, when I am putting a kit together, I will start looking for papers & other products to go with it in the vertical storage for that company. Doesn't mean I'll only use stuff from that company/line, but I always start there, because I know it will match.

If you turn the pp so the branding strip is toward the front of the drawer, will the pp lie flat?

I was thinking I might trim off the branding strips & save them with the paper somehow, just can't decide on the best way to do that. Maybe washi I don't care about?

Instead of cutting off, could you score and then fold the strips back? That way it’s still attached, but hopefully shortens to 12x12.

Bumping and just a reminder . . . the NSBR challenge for January is to purge the Christmas decorations you did not use this year. Either because you have too many, OR they are too dated, or the were passed down from someone and are too "ugly". I know that I have several boxes of lights from 18 years ago when I was single and decorated the OUTSIDE with lights because the neighborhood would enjoy them. Now with our home location, not many people would see a huge light display and I've focused on the interior of my home. The last 3 years it's been harder to "feel" like decorating although I LOVE my little lights glowing everywhere!

angel97701 - I discarded several lighted garlands that no longer lit up, 2 angels I've never really cared for, a couple of old light strands we didn't need and were missing too many bulbs. I'll do some more considering as I pack things up at Epiphany - everything needs to be stored in a more organised way. This was the first Christmas in several years where I've really pulled out almost all the decorations.

That was me the past several years - but we moved right after last Christmas so I wanted to pull everything out and see what worked and didn't work in here. The only thing I didn't get out was my village - I was concerned about the kittens and I still haven't quite figured out where it'll go yet. If it doesn't go up next year then I need to think seriously about donating it.
