Since this can't be asked on the SC board, I was curious if anyone else received the two sets of papers that were different colors and didn't match like posted on the SC MB. I know that if it is asked on SC it will get locked. Just curious, as that would explain why they were suddenly willing to ship two sets of paper, one must have been a misprint. I think my kit might be at the post office, I got a registered package today and I haven't ordered anything, especially registered, and I won't be able to get it until after Thanksgiving to see myself.

Mine do not match. They are off-color, not hugely mismatched but enough to notice. The color saturation is weirdly gray on some.
And several are a different pattern between the two sets - so no match at all.

That is strange. Has anyone asked about it?

That's disappointing. With all the delays and issues, I'm pleased I ordered last year's kit.

If someone asked the thread would get locked or the person asking would get handslapped for griping about "free" paper! Someone did mention it, but not everyone had their kit yet and I didn't see any response.

Mine is mismatches as well. I guess it's better than just getting the one set but will be hard to use both sides of some designs.

just checked mine and they do not match.
Honestly it really does not bother me, I can still use them as not that different and still nice papers.
The thing that does annoy me though is that they should have just been up front and said, he guys we had a print problem so we going to put all the wrong papers in with the kit for you as an extra. rather than make us feel we getting something extra, when in fact all we were getting is a defect.

I am seriously thinking about looking around after Dec and grabbing a kit to get ready for next year, one with no problems etc.

My thoughts exactly, Caroline. I don't mind about the papers, but they should have been upfront about it. I would still have been appreciative even knowing they were seconds. The album on the other hand - handled very badly. I ordered red! I hate the colour salmon, or whatever you want to call it - hate it! I

Agree with you. They should have been upfront about it, but instead they used it as a marketing too to get a lot of people to purchase. That is some disappointing behaviour.

I cut up the extras last night in an attempt to be a little more organized. Put the papers into some stacks and made sense out of it all. It's not too bad having some extras to have options. Had they marketed it that way, a pack of free seconds to be able to have more choice, I think they'd have sold more. Some of the extras don't look so gray-ish once they are cut and away from the other papers and in the plastic sleeves. The owners have a weird viewpoint about scrappers.

That is strange. I'm sure mine will be the same. What poor customer service. That is just lying. I don't think the extra pack influenced my purchasing the kit but geez.
Here, do you want the rest of my cake. It's not very good and I'm already full... Oh, I burnt this toast. If you scrape it off, it's still edible...

Is that the "free extra set of pp if you order by a certain date" offer that I saw online?

Peamac -- yes, that's it. and I went through mine and there is definitely a difference. With most of the papers, I'll still be able to do a 2-page spread with them if I want to -- there's not that much difference. Once I add my embellishments and photos, it will be fine. Some are printed weird though like different fronts and backs. I don't mind it but it's just going to be confusing to figure out which ones I want to use. I'll do what I did last year though -- if there's something on the back that I want, I'll just photocopy it on my inkjet so I'll have it.

I checked through mine tonight and mine are different too. The extra papers are just a little bit more dull in terms of their colors, and there are several with patterns that are different (I don't think there is the same number in each of my sets either, but won't swear to that and am too lazy to go back and count, because I really am just that lazy). I don't know that I would have noticed unless someone said something, and I don't use the same pp on both sides of a layout in DD, so it doesn't affect me. Unless you are talking about the fact that the "hey free paper" when it seems that "free paper" reflects an error from the printer is ... sketchy.

I ordered before the extra paper was offered, but had I ordered on the premise I was getting double the paper, I would be livid! They just should have been honest, but then that's not their thing is it?

Apparently SC = no quality control. I feel bad for all of you who paid out big $$$ and now have this hassle. And this after dealing with the late delivery and the off-color albums. I hope that SC realizes that every post regarding defective merchandise and poor customer service keeps potential buyers like me from ever purchasing anything from their site.
