You Peas always provide great advice. As I continue my journey into stamping in my scrapbooks, I'm seeing that I really need some pigment inks. I have mostly dye inks. What is your favorite line of pigment inks? I was going to try Catherine Pooler inks, but they are dye inks. Thank you!!

Personally I would not use pigment inks for SBing because I am too impatient to wait for them to dry completely, but I would try the hybrid inks. I think those dry faster? Not sure. Unfortunately I do not have any to recommend because I have not bought any, but that is the route I would go.

I only use pigment inks or hybrids.
Pigment - versafine Clair or altenew pigment inks.
Hybrids - MFT but I think they d/c a vast majority of the colors.
Stay away from scrapbook.com hybrids, they are no so great.

I exclusively incorporate stamping into scrapping & only use pigment inks, specifically Tsukineko brands VersaFine Clair (link to Blink Art Materials website) for non-splotchy/crisp images/words & saturated/intense color (that is still embossable minutes later) & VersaMark cube (link to SB.com) for tone-on-tone stamping & embossing. HTH.

What do you find to be an issue w/their hybrids? I don't own any of the scrapbook.com hybrids so I can't speak from owning them. But in the past I've had hybrid inks from the manufacturing company they use and the inks are very splotchy. Also the SSS hybrid inks are terrible. As are the MFT hybrids. For me anyway! I like the Ranger Archival brand of ink for scrapbooking. My favorite pigments are Mama Elephant or Avery Elle but they don't seem to make them anymore. I've heard Fresh Ink by Impression stamps are good but I haven't tried them yet.

I love all the inks but some are definitely better for some applications over others. Dye inks may bleed through paper. Pigment based inks do take longer to dry. StazOn works great ON photos, so that can be fun too. FYI I've been an Artist in Residence for 2 years and now Guest Design for Imagine. Check out my latest creation that is up on the blog today Monday. On this card I used Delicata and StazOn.

amp I forgot to mention, one nice thing about the Memento (dye) Memento Luxe (pigment), and Memento Dual Tip Markers are the colors are the same across the lines. Plus if you want to make a Memento color you don't have as a pigment and embossable you can over stamp with VersaMark ink and then heat emboss with your chosen powder.

Sorry the late response! The inks are very faded. Color is not vibrant, so much so that the lightest pink didn't even leave any pink, scrapbook.com did refund me for that one. I like bold vibrant color and those do not have it.
They also dry out very fast. Have not even owned them for a year and all need to be reinked.

I use the Ranger Archival inks. They're oil based. I love them because they dry fast, they have Distress colours as well as a regular colour palette, and they have a very nice sized mini pad so I don't need to have full-sized.
