I am somewhat new to stamping. I have a Get To Work Book that i want to use for my planner. What are the best kind of inks to use in that? I would like something that dries fast. What is the best black ink to use? Thank you.

Stazon, dries quickly. You can emboss with it if you very fast.

I have ranger dye ink in black, but I don't even know if they make that anymore. Dye inks dry pretty quick (not as fast as Staz-On, though!) and work on porous surfaces--is the get to work book just regular paper?

I think lasteve1 uses a GTWB - she might know which inks work best. Many dye inks bleed through planner pages so you might have to test out the inks you have (if you have any).

While unfamiliar with GTWB/planners, I exclusively incorporate stamping into scrapping & only use VersaFine Clair (link to Blink Art Materials website), a quick-drying pigment ink that yields non-splotchy/crisp images/words & saturated/intense color (that is still embossable minutes later). VersaFine Clair Nocturne is a deep black. HTH.

Clair (or VersaFine) is an excellent ink, but I have Staz-on as my core ink stash. It works on just about anything. I use it when I deco dominoes, pop cans, all sorts of metals, acetate, and plastics. It doesn't run or smudge. All my other inks have a purpose. Tsukineko has a ink/surface compatibility chart of their products.http://www.tsukineko.co.jp/english/common/pdf/surface.pdf#zoom=100. You'll need glasses and a magnifier to read it, but it's worth it to download. If you spend some time on their site you can get info on all their inks.

I used to use a Get to Work Book but did not stamp in it. I remember the paper being very thick and pen/ink friendly. Heba of My Little Journal uses a GTWB, and stamps in it a lot. She has said multiple times that its pages are very stamping/ink friendly. She seems to use a variety of dye and hybrid inks. Here is a link to one of her YT videos where she goes over how she uses it as a memory planner. She discusses several of the products she uses with it: Heba (My Little Journal) Get to Work Book Video

I have used the gtwb in the past but I don't stamp a ton. i use stazon black when i do stamp and I don't have much of an issue. The paper quality is great.
