My DS and I watched the first 2 or 3 episodes when he was up for Thanksgiving. I just watched the 5th episode and it is getting really good! Angel appeared in the episode and that was a shock!

I'm watching and I really like it.
I'm glad they found a way to bring Deb back that wasn't a ridiculous "she wasn't really dead after all" story line. It makes perfect sense that she would be his new conscience.
It was fun to see Angel again - and now I'm going to be looking out for an appearance by Masuka.
I'm interested to see which way they go with Harrison.

Watching and don't like it. Do not like the actor cast as Harrison. He should be blonde or at least light haired. Really disinterests me as a character. Why wasn't his name changed anyway? That makes no sense. And he has siblings. Did they just drop off the face of the earth?
Deb screaming constantly. Ugh. Just stop. Talk to Dexter like his dad did, and why isn't his dad still talking to him, but stop screaming.
Love Battista showing up. Just keep him, but I guess they can't because he knows Dexter.
Dexter raising that knife up high and plunging it down is too over the top. At this point just do it without the drama.
We will keep watching it but so far it is just nostalgia for what was great keeping me lured in.

Hi I am on episode 6 or so and will I ever like Dexter’s sister? Also that Angel dude is annoying and the Asian guy they make look stupid. Will his sister be less annoying?

I am pretty meh about this show. Very predictable. Don't want Harrison to be a serial killer. It will be fun to have Dexter try and solve the crime even though we know Kurt is the killer. I will watch to the end.
I think I am giving up on reboots.

Meh. It’s better than the last season of the original, which isn’t exactly a ringing endorsement.
I like the town. It’s like Dexter Does Stars Hollow.
Also, Dexter doesn’t seem nearly as flat-affect and perplexed-about-human-interaction as he used to be.
SPOILER SPECULATION:
Anybody else get a little suspicious when Harrison talks about Hannah’s death? Dexter asks how she died and H. says “Cancer. Pancreatic.” Seemed like extra info. (It wouldn’t be extra in real life, but TV dialogue is more spare, and it just doesn’t seem like a teen thing to add the type of cancer.) Then he volunteers to the therapist “Then she died…of cancer.” Just jumped out at me and made me wonder if we’ll learn more…or there’ll be a Hannah twist.

I hadn't considered that, mainly because I think the actress is quite busy and she just had a baby (she would have been pregnant during filming) so I've never thought she'd make an appearance. Don't want Harrison to be a serial killer. I'm hoping for the redemption story - Dexter had the urges and his father made him into a killer...I'm hoping that Dexter will find a way to stop Harrison going down the same path. |

I didn’t think we’d actually see the Hannah character; maybe just learn the death was different, or didn’t even happen. Harrison isn’t exactly a font of truth. On the other hand maybe it was just bad, clunky dialogue. Like when Dexter answered his OWN cell phone, knowing it was his girlfriend, “It’s Jim. Are you all right?”, just so anguished girlfriend could reply “I don’t need Jim. I need DEXTER MORGAN.” Cut to credits. So sloppy it made me giggle. I also hope we get a double redemption. |

I was hoping we'd get more of Dexter killing bad guys - that's what I loved about the original series. I'm finding I like this one more each week, but I'm still not loving it yet. ooooh....! |

OMG that ending.
I guess that's what so many people wanted in the first final...and now they have it. It was an appropriate full circle ending and I thought they handled it well, and I did tear up a bit when Deb let go.
It shocked me though, of all the things I speculated about, this wasn't one of them.
The only thing I really didn't like in the whole series was the line up of all the girls bodies that Kurt killed, they all looked so fake. I think they could have done a better job at making them look dead/preserved.
The creators say they are open to continuing with Harrison's story.

Just finished it last night and I’m satisfied with the ending. I don’t think Harrison has a dark passenger and I was sad for him that he has to leave town and start over again.

I'm skipping the spoilers. I stopped watching after the episode w/Angel's reappearance. I love him, don't get me wrong but I started losing interest in the story line. Is it still good in later episodes? I may pick it up again.

It was pretty good. I thought Dexter being "oh goody goody, my son is just like me" was a bit much though. I didn't see the ending coming. I was really wondering if it would have another season.

I just finished the last episode. I think the ending is okay. I wouldn't watch a spin-off with Harrison. To me there would be no point unless he's going down *that* path. I was sad about Logan.
