Hi all. I bought the New Baby stamp set by Colorado Craft Company (https://www.scrapbook.com/store/ccc-aj432.html?cmp=googleproducts&kw=ccc-aj432&gclid=Cj0KCQiA2NaNBhDvARIsAEw55hjvm7LnjWuKSNC5Gqo1N1KlEaROaGK42ivGjv3LTarV7nrEPwhVXU0aAt4VEALw_wcB) because I thought the image was so cute and reminded me of the cards my parents received when I was born. My friend just had her third baby (a year after her second) and I was so pleased to have a cute stamp to use that I didn't realize until I was done making the card that she might find it offensive! What do you guys think? I honestly only made the card with this stamp set because the image is so whimsical and the sentiments are so lovely, but I don't want to inadvertently offend her family's choices!

midorica, I had to look for a while to figure out why you thought it might be offensive. I'm assuming it's a combo of the family being rabbits and there being lots of babies (so "going at it like rabbits" or something)? Honestly, I would have never even thought about it at all! I would just think that it's a cute image. I don't think you have anything to worry about!

I think it’s cute, but these days, people who have more than two kids are sometimes given a guilt trip. Since this is her third, it could be taken the wrong way.
Even back when I was having kids, the number of children that a couple chose to have was becoming controversial, and that was quite awhile ago.
I suggest you use a different stamp.

people who have more than two kids are sometimes given a guilt trip As are those w/0 or 1.
Here is the stamp for ease of reference:
Personally, I wouldn't use it, but it's because I'm not a fan of critters on my cards.

I don’t find it offensive but it does seem a little “churchy” to me. Someone who isn’t religious might not appreciate it.

I think it's a case of "read the room" for me. Depends how good of a friend and if said friend is religious or not. I could see giving this to a good friend who's personal belief was that it was important to have lots of kids and she was a regular church-goer. (is that a word?) I would think someone having their 3rd kid might get a kick out of this, as I have been told that 3 kids "feels" like 6 or 7! But if you think she is the kind of person who thinks you may be making a judgement call on how many kids she has (I made you this rabbit card because you breed like rabbits) then best to save that card for a different person. It's hard to feel too much judgement with a handmade card. Cute bunny stamp, I like the mom and dad bunny, I wish perhaps they had cut the baby bunnies down by 2 or 3.

This is exactly what I was worried about 🤦🏻♀️ I don't want to risk hurting her in any way, so I will come up with a different design.

I giggled at the image. It’s adorable, but I understand your hesitation. I agree that it depends on your relationship with her and whatnot. If you are second guessing it, maybe it’s best to skip it.
Super cute bunnies, though!

She's a very close friend, which is why I want to be extra careful. We are religious (not Christian) but I definitely don't want her to think there is any commentary coming from me on her choices! I just thought it was the cutest little bunny family 🤦🏻♀️ I absolutely agree with you about cutting down the number of baby bunnies, that would have made it so much easier to use this stamp... Am feeling so irritated now, because I bought the matching dies for this set too, and now it feels like I won't get my money's worth without risking offending the recipient each time 😑 not sure if I will even be able to sell the stamp set 🤦🏻♀️

I like the stamp midorica its really cute. You can always mask off the 1 on daddy's side and the 2 on mommy's. I think it would be easy enough to draw a line. Than you have 3 little bunnies. If the masking off doesn't work, just use flowers , bushes to hide the 3 little bunnies on the side.

I’m not religious and I wouldn’t find this offensive. I think the bunnies are cute and have always symbolized fertility, which does result in children. I might hesitate on the sentiment if the recipient isn’t Christian or I didn’t know them well.

*raises hand in it's-childfree-not-childless* midorica I adore CCC's bunny series. I went through a phase where for a few years I drew people as bunnies when I was kid. Everyone was bunny (with clothing and everything, even hair bows drawn in between the ears) and my drawn world was pure happiness. 🐇 I see no issue with this image but I don't care for the blessing/Heaven references in the sentiment at all as an atheist. It really depends on whether you know if your friend is religious and particularly follows the Heaven + children are gifts sent by God doctrine and whether they feel pressure to have a certain amount of children or not. The CCC Snuggles set which is more versatile offers a very cute image of a parent bunny holding a small one in case you're looking for an alternative in the same series:

And here I was with my mouth that would make sailor blush and my in the gutter mind trying to find what could possibly be offensive about that I personally would take no offence and see it as a cute image on a card but yes I can see that some people might get offended by that, weird to me but different strokes for different folks. If that was my best friends though they would either see it as cute or a hilarious joke. I like the suggestion of removing the bunnies, you still get to use the stamp which is adorable by the way and it removes the concern you have.

It's very cute but really since bunnies give birth in litters, the female has 2 uteruses so can carry two litters of different ages at the same time and get get pregnant almost right away after giving birth, and the male torments the female even when pregnant, as an image it just anthropomorphizes animals in a nonsensical way. A family of rabbits looking like a human family. More than you ever wanted to know about rabbits, haha!
So I wouldn't be attracted to using it but I would use Peter Rabbit since that is classic imagery. I think your friend is unlikely to be offended by a cute bunny rabbit family.

I'd stamp it - scan it - pull it into my Silhouette and edit it.
I think it's very cute!

OK - I tested my idea. I was able to edit the image down to just 3 babies. I'd post it here but I cannot figure out how to post a pdf image. I can e-mail it to you if you want to PM me your e-mail
