I've been making traveler's notebook covers for myself (to house all the TN's I've started making because buying leather ones are way too expensive) and I need larger eyelets or actually I need longer eyelets to go through my material. The ones I have are 1/8th" and I think I need 3/16th" with a longer part that goes through the material. Does anyone know what that is called? Or does anyone have any idea where I can buy eyelets? I checked eyelet outlet but they don't have the longer ones, I also checked all the craft stores online (M's, J's and even HL) but none have the longer ones. Thanks friends! I have eyelets that I grabbed at HL for all of my TN covers. Perfect size for the elastic cording I use. I think mine are just regular eyelets. I use my WRMK chomper to make the holes and then stick the eyelets in and crimp them. I use a pretty heavy stabilzer and they still work. Let me see if I have the brand of them when I get home. But I have never used anything but the eyelets from normal spots. I think they may even be the Paper Studio brand.

I'll see if I can take a better picture of my issue, maybe you can give me some tips! I use the WRMK long reach cropodile so I'm assuming my eyelets are to blame for my issue.

Here is a photo of some of the ones I've made. If you zoom in on the photo, you will see the white eyelet I use. And now that I'm thinking about it, they may be eyelets I got in the sewing dept of HL. I know I got the elastic cording from the sewing dept. These are beautiful! So much neater than my hack job! I don't have a HL near me nor do I really want to go to one but I'll check Joann's sewing section the next time I'm out and about, I was just looking in the scrapbook section.

Here is a photo of some of the ones I've made. Those ARE amazing! I made a hack cover when I participated in an event that included 2 travelers notebooks without a cover, and discovered how EXPENSIVE those covers are! But mine is just rough edged and ugly compared to those. Plus, I've since spilled coffee on it...

Those are GORGEOUS!!!
Have you looked at a leather supply store? They might have longer shafted eyelets.

The 3/16" eyelets are located in the Leather Crafting section of Hobby Lobby. I realize you said you didn't have a HL. But I thought that would be helpful when looking elsewhere. I found online at Joann & Michaels: Michaels 3/16" eyeletsJoann 3/16 eyeletsHobby Lobby 3/16 eyelets (Couldn't help adding HL just because the price is so low.)

Have you tried a fabric store? My first eyelets and setter were from FabricLand. They were a little more heavy duty than the ones later made popular for scrapbooking.

Another vote for the fabric store. I found eyelets for travellers notebooks in with all the sewing needles and pins etc at my store.

I don't know if these photos will help but these are what I use. Unfortunately I have thrown away the packaging so I can't help. But I would almost bet I got them in the sewing area. I have black and white ones. The photos totally help! I will check it out the next time I go to the store. Thanks again!

i use longer eyeleets a lot. i buy them on Ebay in the leather making tools category. you can get a lot more for a lot less than ones packaged for scrapbook use.
