I have SO much going on right now... Mom is in hospital, has been there 28 days now, and today I speak with hospice My sister went into hospital today for her last chemo treatment, which is so toxic they keep her in hospital for observation until it had left her system, so 3-4 days. Not sure mom will make it. I am planning my daughter's wedding, in another city, to take place in less than 4 months. And here is where I need some help... My son and hi SO just moved to NYC and I need a house warming gift. I already sent an Instant Pot - their request - but I would love to send them a poster or piece of art for their walls. (it was their original request until they decided they needed the IP more). So what I am looking for is something that reflects their interests. They are math and computer science nerds (both work in the field) and love to play strategy puzzle games like MIT's Puzzle hunt: www.mit.edu/~puzzle/nexthunt.html. My son loves algorithms, his SO loves robotics and programming. Thanks in advance for any help

There is an email in your link. Why not email and see if someone can help you? You have nothing to lose.

I’m sorry you are going through so much right now. That’s an awful lot to handle.
Google images for the Fibonacci Sequence. There are beautiful examples of it reflected in nature they might like. You could probably order a print to frame if it seems like something they may like as art.

I'd try a museum gift shop - maybe a science museum?

Sorry for all that you are dealing with. Wondering if you could find something at PopChart? They have modern, infographic type posters. I believe there are some math/science based type themes. popchart.co/

Unfortunately, I am not sure what to suggest. You have so much on your plate right now and I want to add my thoughts for your sister that this treatment is easier than expected and that your mom's passing is peaceful. I am so sorry. Things are bittersweet right now.

My son and Ddil like Takashi Murakami prints. They got a huge one when he had an exhibit here that they attended. It might be totally wrong for them, though.

I may be out of line with this but a someone who lost their mother earlier this year and didn't have nearly as many other things going on as you do, I'm just going to say it.
If it brings you joy to give the gift, by all means give them a gift. However, if you are doing this in any way because you think you need to, you don't. You have way too much on your plate - both active items and emotional toll - and from what you are saying, more is to come with your mom. You've already given them a gift.
Your family will understand if you don't do everything you might normally do. There will be plenty of time for focusing on your son later on.

scrappinghappy : Oh my gosh, you do have a lot going on. Prayers to your sister. I hope that it goes easier than you think. Prayers to your mom with Hospice. I found them to be very honest and helpful to us all. Praying that your mom has some quality time left and that she's not in pain. NYC!!?? How cool. I wish I could be back in my beloved NY. You'll come up with something great!! DH had 2 original Peter Max paintings that I had properly framed for him. One of them had his signature in a few spots along with the date. I found out that it makes it worth less. Not sure what I'll do with them, but DH was friends with Peter Max back in the late 60's. Pretty cool. DH did his print work at his dad's photography studio. I realize that you're speaking about something that's out of my realm though. Good luck in choosing the appropriate gift. It's nice to have a happy occasion to look forward To!! Xo
