Of course I’m watching Ohio State… But damn, it’s ugly. It has been ugly. And beautiful. And depressing. And nail-bitingly close. Yes!!!! My sibling canceled their annual New Years Day football party because they’re disgusted with Ohio Stare and Ryan Day! They refused to watch any bowl/playoff games this year! But damn, they did it. Won the Rose Bowl 🌹 |

Wow! What a game. The Buckeyes had me worried. Me too. I had to be doing stuff the entire game —I cleaned off my desk, paid bills, made a pie, cooked dinner, took out trash…anything to keep me from sitting through my anxiety!!! Lol |

But, Smith-N’Jigba seems ready to fill Olave and Wilson’s shoes. |

I’m so sorry about Matt Corral. 😢 You all have been playing really well all things considered. We all are.  I do admire him for showing up at the game and not opting out though. Also think that Luke Altmyer did a great job, especially considering he's just a freshman. He seemed to find his stride there for a bit and I think we will see good things from him in the future. So very sad that we lost, but just happy to have been in the Sugar Bowl and that Matt Corral did not have a career ending injury. |

But, Smith-N’Jigba seems ready to fill Olave and Wilson’s shoes. Local media report that Olave actually traveled with the team and worked out with them in Pasadena to continue to be an encourager. He seemed genuinely torn to have had to make the decision, and some even thought he might double back on his decision by game time. Didn't happen, but it was an interesting perspective to consider. No word on the other three. Disappointing, but the definition of a great team is one that can overcome adversity, and this team certainly did!  |

It was as ugly as expected but at least we weren't shut out. The final score was 42-20 but the play of the game for LSU came with 7 seconds left in the 4th quarter when Kirklin threw an 81-yard TD pass to freshman WR Chris Hilton, Jr.! It was the longest pass play of the season. As a side note, right before the game started, the LSU men's basketball team beat Kentucky! |
