Hi everyone. LSU will face Kansas State at the Texas Bowl on January 4th. Our QB situation is a big question mark. It might be a walk-on freshman!

Sugar Bowl (Jan 1) - Ole Miss vs Baylor Hotty Toddy! Liberty Bowl (Dec 28) - Texas Tech vs Miss. State Liberty Bowl will be interesting. DH is a Miss State alum, while DD is a Texas Tech alum. Interesting that State's Coach Leach used to be the head coach at Texas Tech.   We see what you did there College Football Playoff selection committee!  |

Purdue plays Tennessee in the Music City Bowl. It’s only a six hour drive there so I’m sure we’ll bring a good crowd down but it’s practically in Tennessee’s back yard.

This is going to be a nightmare of a Bowl Season.
Texas A & M has already pulled out of the Gator Bowl, leaving my Dh’s Wake Demon Deacons without an opponent. This was going to be one of their most prestigious bowl games ever. ☹️
CFP has released - earlier today - what will happen in terms of the four teams in the CFP should any not be able to play due to COVID.

Well, Wake gets to play Rutgers. ☹️ It is hard for Dh to get excited by a non bowl-eligible matchup.
We were looking forward to watching the Military Bowl tomorrow and UVA’s bowl on Wednesday- both cancelled due to COVID.
Initially, I was upset that we couldn’t afford to send ds1 and me to the Rose Bowl this year, but I wouldn’t want to travel this week with all the flight cancellations, etc.

It’s an awesome night to be an Oklahoma Sooner! Bob Stoops came out of retirement to coach the Sooners tonight in the Alamo Bowl. The Sooners beat Oregon 47-32. Stoops son Drake caught a touchdown pass.
The future looks bright for the Sooners with Brent Venables having been named our next head coach.

auntkelly - That was a good game for your Sooners last night! Were you at the game this year? Tuesday night was the Liberty Bowl, which was a family rivalry. DD's Texas Tech easily won the game. DH's Bulldogs just couldn't get it together. Part of the problem was that they were short 16 players - with 6 of those being starters.  It was a combination of positive Covid tests, virus protocols, opt-outs and injuries. Next game for us will be Ole Miss in the Sugar Bowl on Saturday. Fingers crossed that enough of the players can stay healthy for the game. While it's good that 100% of Ole Miss' football team is vaccinated, Omicron doesn't seem to really care about that.

Well, Wake gets to play Rutgers Another Wake fan here! I was born and raised in Winston Salem. What a year they have had. Also a NC State fan, that really sucked for them, their game being cancelled. |

This Purdue game is a nail biter. We were not supposed to even have a chance as we had our best players opt out of playing because they are entering the NFL draft.

MSU really did well at the end of the game! Really exciting game! Poor Pitt had trouble with Michigan schools this year (Western Michigan beat them early this season). Congratulations to MSU! We lived in Michigan for only 2 yrs., but I loved it so if we had to lose, at least it was to a Michigan school. |

Was more than a little bored yesterday with both the Cotton Bowl and Orange Bowl games. Hopefully the games today will be better. Hotty Toddy! Tonight is the Sugar Bowl with Ole Miss playing Baylor. This will be our last game of the season and hoping for a win. I have to laugh at LSU's situation for the bowl game on Tuesday. We're down to I think 1 scholarship QB for the game and might use a wide receiver who played QB in high school 5 years ago. Like other schools, we've lost so many players to injuries and leaving early for the draft that I won't recognize a lot of the players who will be in the game.
