I'm looking for something new to try in 2022.
I do December Daily every year. And I usually do a travel journal (no travels in 2020 or 2021).
Once I did Week in the Life and I really enjoyed that so I will do it again this year.
Is there something out there that I don't know about?
I like that December Daily makes me focus on moments instead of just the daily grind.
Would love some ideas.
Thanks!

I do a few 'for sure' projects and then throw some others in if I am inspired.
For sure: PL and December Daily and I make birthday cards for Peas (not sure if we are doing that again?)
Maybe I will do: OLW, WITL. DITL doesn't usually inspire me at all so I don't do it.
I am debating of making an intentional effort to be more 'messy' in my creative project this year. Being messy isn't my natural way to create, so I avoid it. Thinking of doing some art journaling in connection with my OLW.

I do a OLW & WITL album every year as well as a TN of my Thursday 3/selfie project. Those and keeping my kids baby books up to date seems to take up all of my scrappy time these days.
I attempt PL ever year but have only managed to complete one year fully ha! I still take pictures and write things down in the hopes of going back eventually.
ETA: I forgot, the last two years I also did (and finished) a mini gratitude book of sorts. I did a positivity passport in 2020 & Joyful July this year. I used the mini books from everyday explorers and they are a perfect size for me to actually complete and make it no fuss. I think I will do something like this again next year.

I do DD, I've bought the class for OLW, so looking forward to that. I do WITL and sometimes DITL. My October DITL pics & journaling haven't been touched. My Joy in July project is not complete, but I think I will just pick that back up again in July. I had just gotten my Epson Picturemate in July 2021, printing pics at home has been a game changer.
I have my bike ride trip from last summer still to finish.
ETA I took a Heidi Swapp "Stop the Blur" class this year. I really am enjoying using my planner as a "memory planner" where I write down what I was doing, add pics, journal, etc. I will be continuing this into 2022.

I do photo a day a couple of times a year and then do a two page grid layout to squeeze in all the pictures from the month. I like that those layouts show little snippets of life and whatever we're into at that time.

This is my second year doing a December Documented (2019 was the first). I did a 2020 Week in the Life. In 2014 I did a mini Thanksgiving gratitude album. While I've enjoyed doing them all - I don't see a need to do them every year.
I had particular reasons for doing them when I did - 2019 was the first Christmas my son was home since 2014 and I wanted to document that. This year is our first year in a new house and DD21 is moving out on the 28th - so I'm documenting again.
2020 - well week in a pandemic life seemed like a good idea.
And 2014 was the last year DS was home for Thanksgiving so I'm glad I did that one.
I don't have any project plans for next year really - just my family album and a joint album for my older two kids (they'll be sharing a house) and a Girl Scout album for DD15. I may scrap older trip photos if I feel moved to do so.

I really enjoyed the 100 day project. I participated for the first time this year and will do it again when the next round starts on February 13th! www.the100dayproject.org

Thursday 3/selfie project Tell me more. What is this? in 2020 & Joyful July this year. Are there prompts for this? I've never heard of it. I really enjoyed the 100 day project. I participated for the first time this year and will do it again when the next round starts on February 13th! This sounds cool. I have tried things like this before I usually stop around day 17. Maybe I'll look for a 30 day challenge of some sort. I don't even think I could do something once a week for a year. I only finish DD because my family enjoys it. I'm the queen of UFOs.

I really like the positivity passport. For me it’s freeing to just simply document something in my day with stamps and stickers. I don’t even keep mine 100% positive. I think the small size really feels freeing to me.

I documented my life through the books I read this year.
For each book, I write a little about what was going on while I was reading it, why I picked the book, what I thought about it given where I am in life, that kind of thing. I have read 93 books so far so it's a lot of content! It's mostly journaling, book cover, and the occasional photo of me or my life.
I've enjoyed it so much I'm planning to do it again next year. I'll call this series something like "This Chapter" or similar cheesy title. haha
I also will do DD this year. Most years I do DD and WITL or PL or P365.

Thursday 3 challenge is a weekly Instagram challenge started by @rukristin. Snap a selfie or photo, write 3 right-now about you facts, tag friends. I do not post mine on Instagram but I do it every week in my Day One app. I decided to make the project into a TN and it’s been fun.
Idk if there are prompts for Joyful July. I don’t know the origins of this project I think I saw it on Instagram as well. I just picked one thing everyday which is easy to do in the summer ha. I should try a joyful January…..that would be a challenge and probably helpful in the dead of winter.

I pulled out all my childhood stuff from a bin last winter. I had way more stuff than I realized. I created an 8.5x11 scrapbook for myself. I put a school photo, if I had it, with my report card for the year. It was a fun project. I had academic awards, Girl Scout stuff, school patrol awards, etc., as well as birthday cards, Valentine cards, and Christmas cards my mom saved from the late 1950's.
I am still working on adding my childhood photos, but have taken a break.

Last year I started weekly PL spreads. I kept up well until October when work exploded (I manage a couple websites and holidays are insane). I will continue to do my weekly pages.
I did DITL last year and will do that again. I also started a TN and loosely follow Lalye By Mail’s list with me in a TN.
I make cards.
I tried OLW, but it wasn’t really my jam. I made it they three of Heba’s Me Myself and I prompts last year. I might try that again.

52 Favorites / Favourites is fun. You document your favourite thing from the week. People do TN, mini albums, planners and 12x12. I did a trade book from Blurb for 2019. It helped see the good in a year that sucked. You can check out the #52favorites of Instagram.

I do not do any projects like that. I have a Christmas album that I put my newsletter in and one page of Christmas for that year. I also started one for my son's family.
I also do a 2 page spread of DGD with one photo each month. I just put her Dec photo on today. Then it goes in an ongoing album for her.
Otherwise I don't do anything separate.

Do you get the monthly kits/ her supplies and does this kind of replace something like project life? I was thinking about trying PL this year, but I like the idea of the planner style vs an album.

Stop the BLur is just a class. Heidi shows you how to use your planner as a way to scrap or record memories. She will show a technique, like how to add a pocket page to hold more content. I subscribed for 2 months, because it becomes repetitive, BUT I have continued to use her method to record all sorts of stuff in my planner. It really sparked a good way to record for me. Especially when I think I haven't *done anything* for the day.

None. I exclusively create 12x12 albums (including various sized/configurations of page protectors).
Hope you find a new project(s) for the upcoming year!

I love all of these ideas!
I need to be on Instagram more (ha ha).
I started a baby book for my daughter (now 13). I could actually work on it.
Does anyone subscribe to the story kits from Ali Edwards? I was looking at her website to see what other projects she had and found those. It looks like they're more of a page kit for scrapbooking or maybe project life. It's not clear. Maybe because they've been around for so long. I was thinking it might be fun to do a project with one or more of those as they have the theme to work from.

I just do a memory planner (I use a happy planner) in a PL weekly style. I even use a bunch of old PL cards I have for the pages.

I dabble, but don't do any projects consistently, other than my family scrapbooks that come together season by season. Will have to check out some of the projects you ladies are doing.
Started a P365 and a Project 52, even did the journaling for the weekly one, but never finished the album. Have done OLW when Ali did it as a one month project. Have done a couple of Gratitude journals, a few DD's, an All about ME 6x8 book which morphed out of a FAVORITES project I got as a kit. Most of my vacations found their way into separate albums, and I have created albums for other people's vacations if I have the photos and itinerary. Have also done wedding and baby albums.
Not a project, but I am a member of ScrapHappy, and they host three LOAD's (LayOut A Day) a year. Some of them I keep up with the prompts, most I do a few pages for if the prompts fit what I am already doing, but I don't finish many, or at least not on time. Started a P365 and a Project 52, even did the journaling for the weekly one, but never finished the album.

I scrapbook.
I have a mixed media style journal.
I choose a "word or saying" yearly, as a focus, guidance, etc... in regards to living my life. I don't follow any of the word type classes, in regards to my word or saying.

I'm still planning to do project life this year, albeit, I'm thinking of going a bit smaller this year than I did in 2021 because I want to add some new projects into the mix.
I'm planning a version of OLW. Mine will be 1%. I read the book Atomic Habits by James Clear and I'm trying to figure out how to add in some good habits for 2022. I ordered the OLW mini kit. I will definitely use that for my 1% album.
Also, I'm a subscriber since about mid-year 2021 to Ali's story kit. I haven't even tried scrapbooking with these kits. I've only done one page really. I am going to try to focus more on story telling. I have a special album just for that.
And then I will add to my travel album with my yearly camping trip in the fall. Jeremy and I haven't decided where or when we are going yet. But we had so much fun on our camping trip in September together that we definitely want to do it again. We have some friends in Tennessee so I'm going to try to talk him into going there. I used Ali's road trip kit last year and it was perfect. But the 6x8 album is so wide, my travels didn't even take up half of it. So I'm thinking I can use the same album again to put our next camping trip in it. Hopefully she has a good kit next summer for travel too.

I looked through past kits (and have even bought some when they were on sale). It seems like if you subscribe, you can't skip two months in a row so I'm not going to subscribe but I like the products and would like to do a mini deep dive into a theme like that. I don't do enough to subscribe. Do they give you ideas for what to do with the product? I've never paid attention and it's not clear on her site. I like the idea of keeping an album that I work on through the year doing random projects that take a closer look at what's going on in our lives.
