Did you get the same brand for your first two shots and booster or mix things up. I received Pfizer for my first two. My booster appointment is tomorrow and they said I could choose either Pfizer or Moderna.

Yes I got the same but I did not have a choice.

I mixed it. My doctor recommended. My first 2 shots were Pfizer and I just got Moderna a month ago.

Thanks and sorry...I meant to post this on the NSBR board. Appreciate your answers though!

I’ve heard mixing gives the best protection, but worst side effects. Not sure how much validity there is to that. I had awfulllllll symptoms after my second dose (Pfizer), so I’ll be sticking to the same brand in hopes I get by a bit easier after the booster. 😬

I've only had three Pfizer shots and haven't had a side effect at all.

I've only had Johnson & Johnson, but based on recent news I should probably get a booster from Pfizer or Moderna.

I had 2 Pfizer, then my recent booster was Moderna. I didn't get a choice on any of them, and only had relatively mild side effects with all 3 shots. 2nd shot of Pfizer had the worst side effects but even those were relatively mild.

Did Pfizer for the two and Moderna for the booster. My daughter did the same, but my dh chose to do all Pfizer. I follow a couple doctors who suggested it was a good idea based on some early studies.

I've got Pfizer 3 times here in France. Would love to have Moderna. Maybe for the next time as they say we will certainly have a fourth shot.

I got all three Moderna. Didn’t have a choice for the first two, but chose to stick with Moderna for the booster. If you had arm soreness and swelling of the lymph nodes in that arm/armpit with the first or second shot, I’ve seen recommendations to get the booster in your opposite arm - wish I would have read that before my booster…my lymph nodes are sooo sore and swollen. That just means it’s working!

3 x Pfizer. I'll be picking my next booster carefully based on Omicron and any possible new variant by then. Might go with Moderna then. Israel is beginning the 4th shot campaign and I'm going to keep an eye on their results although it's mostly Pfizer still from what I understand.

I’m getting my Pfeizer booster this morning. They asked which I had received for the first two and recommended the same. I’m also getting my flu shot at the same time. Hoping for few or no side effects.

I ended up mixing and matching. I had Pfizer for the first two and did Moderna for my booster yesterday. I didn't have any side effects with the first two and so far, so good with the booster (I just hit the 24 hour mark).
I tried to get my flu shot at the same time, but the pharmacy was overwhelmed and said they couldn't accommodate me. So, I'll have to make a second appointment for that.

My husband and I both ended up mixing and matching mostly by chance. He got 2 Pfizers then Moderna, I got the opposite. Neither of us had significant side effects with any of them although we think the Moderna might've given us more arm soreness. I barely even felt my Pfizer booster.

I'm going to get my booster next month. I'll get Pfizer again as there's really no choice here in New Zealand at present. We only have Pfizer with a small amount of Astra Zeneca available for people who are specifically prescribed it because they can't tolerate the Pfizer jab.
