All done- i decided to just get it over with instead of having to go out again. They did separate arms and I thought it was rather smart when he said he likes to do the flu shot in the left arm since flu and left both have the letter L (in case of reaction)
it's been a few hours and so far so good, fingers crossed!
Thank you for sharing your experiences.

The Moderna booster kicked my butt. I’m glad I didn’t also get the flu shot at the same time. My DD got her Moderna booster yesterday. She had a really bad reaction to Pfizer (throwing up, chills, fever), so I had her get moderna since it was a half dose. She threw up 2x last night and is still sleeping. I just hate that for her. Poor thing. It has to be hard on you to know she’s feeling so poorly. I hope it passes quickly.

I am having my Pfizer booster tomorrow. I opted not to have my flu shot at the same time although I could have. I will be having that a few days after Christmas. I got my booster a few hours ago, they offered my flu shot at the same time, and I figured I might as well. So I sit here with two sore arms being a guinea pig for two shots at once here for y’all. 😂Except for the sore arms (one in each) I feel fine so far.

My husband and 24 yr. old daughter did and neither had any issues! We were happy to not have any issues with the vaccines or boosters (I get booster tomorrow). We thought our kids would be side effect free as they are young, but even my husband and I had no side effects. Three of us got Pfizer and two of us got Moderna.

I have no idea if this has anything to do with it, but a Pfizer full dose has 30 mcg of mRNA and a half dose of Moderna has 50 mcg mRNA.

I had both in the same appointment. No problems, besides a sore arm

Well I’m 18 hours in, no reaction, so far - except I was really tired and went to bed earlier than usual, and the soreness in both arms is real. About to take some ibuprofen.

DH is going in for a double jab after work today, so crossing fingers that he feels fine. I'll update tomorrow. Update: DH experienced no immediate discomfort from the booster, although he did feel discomfort right away from the flu shot. This morning his shoulder is quite sore--enough for him to take an Advil, which is unusual for him. But otherwise he feels fine and he's off to work. So hopefully the sore shoulder will be the extent of his side effects.
