I usually see a place that has them and make an appointment while I'm there and I just realized that i haven't been in any stores since moving to see the signs and we've been so busy that getting a flushot just didn't even cross my mind. Argh.
I have an appointment for my Moderna booster tomorrow afternoon and I noticed that there is an option to schedule the flu shot too. Has anyone done them together?
After my first Covid vaccine I just had a sore arm. My second was 5 days after a big surgery and I was still using a walker so I was sore and miserable and slept for a few days but i'm honestly not sure if I had any effects from it because I was just all over miserable.
I'm moderately worried about feeling gross after the booster just a few days before Christmas, but it's better than intubation so off I go.
Anyone else done both at once and have an experience to share?
Fingers crossed!

One of my best friends - who had virtually no reaction to the first two shots and has never had a flu shot reaction - was horribly sick for 48 hrs after getting both at the same fine. N=1 and YMMV but I’d be prepared to not feel well.
Also, places around here stopped doing flu+booster in the same visit. I don’t know why, but it was an option at first and no longer is.

I had my booster shot on a Monday and my flu shot and a Vit B12 shot the next day. No reaction, just a bit tired.

DH got a Pfizer booster and flu shot at the same time and he felt like absolute hell for two days. A friend of ours got a Moderna booster and flu shot and felt tired and achy but she said it wasn’t terribly bad. It varies so much from person to person. I guess the good news is that the symptoms, however you experience them, seem to be over in a couple of days for most people. I hope it’s not too bad for you.

My mom did and was feverish for 2 days but felt fine after. She wasn't allowed to get both shots in one arm, so she did have two sore arms for a couple days.

DH will be tomorrow. Hopefully it's not a bad reaction because the timing is awful but his work is requiring the flu shot and he needs the booster so... I had my flu shot in September when I took DS for his yearly well check and they offered it to both of us, or I'd be getting both at once when I get my booster in January. I have heard the flu shot is not a good match with the virus that is circulating this year though

I did. I had the same side effects as my 2nd COVID dose (flu-like symptoms the next day), which i expected based on experiences of others with the booster. I think I’d probably have had the same side effects if I’d had the booster alone.
I didn’t originally plan to get both shots at once, but I was trying to work around allergy shots and travel and it just worked out best to get them on the same day.

I had both of mine done at the same time.
Flu shot in left arm Booster in right
My right arm was sore for a few days but that was it.
The doctor said not to get them in the same arm - that's when people are reporting reactions the most.

DH and I both got our flu shots when we got our booster shots. DH was just fine, but I was sick for a while just like when I had my other COVID vaccine.

I had my flu and my booster a month apart. I would not get them both at the same time, although you can. I think the booster is enough for your body to go through without adding to it.

I did. Moderna booster & flu, same arm, same appointment.
I felt really crappy for a couple days after, but that has been my experience with the moderna shots to begin with.
Worth getting it done with, though.

I did. I got the Pfizer booster and flu shot about a week ago. I was pretty sick (for 12 hours) after my second CV shot, so I was a little worried.
I had a sore arm I couldn't raise above my head for about 12 hours in the booster arm and I was really tired for about 48 hours. Nothing after that. My CV 2nd shot was worse with tru flue-like symptoms.

Both my doctor and DH's recommended that the flu shot and booster be done at least 2 weeks apart. DH waited the 2 weeks. I ended up waiting almost 6 weeks because I had done the covid treatment in August and had to wait to get the booster.

Yes I just got both (one in each arm)
No issues at all - though both arms were sore for a few days (I felt pretty sick after my vaccines but the booster was fine)

No pharmacy wouldn't do it. (CVS) and I heard flu shot missed strains this year.

Y daughter had the booster and flu shot same day and did not have any side effects. I had them a month apart and just felt very tired the day after the booster. I napped for 3 hours which I rarely do.

I had them both in the same arm on the same day, and it was fine. I’d had quite a strong reaction to the second covid jab, but nothing really after this one. Hopefully those antibodies are doing their thing.

Hi, Steph - good to see you! Our PCP insists on a two week interval between injections.

My pharmacy friend said the same thing, to space at least 2 weeks apart, and with covid more prevalent in my area than the flu (at the time) she said to get the booster first and then the flu shot. My parents got them together, My dad got REALLY sick.

I had the Moderna booster and flu shot at the same time. Had chills, slight fever and body aches for two days. Would 100% do it again.

I had both of mine on the same day, booster in left arm, flu in right. I had no side effects whatsoever. My DD felt a bit tired after her two, but that wasn’t necessarily because of the injections.
