We are going to order a fun puzzle game for our German Shepherd. The kids got her a couple toys. She has degenerative mylopathy and cannot use her back legs anymore. So she has to have a toy she can play with while laying down. It's so sad, but we are trying to keep her happy.

I got my grand kitties (son's cats) some scratching posts, some felt mice, and some little spring toys. I don't have grandchildren, so it's something for fun at the holidays. It's more for me and my son than them. But I hope they enjoy them. My 22 yr. old adopted a 9 yr. old cat in August (new apt.) and our 24 yr. old adopted a cat in Sept. and Oct. (she has an apt. at grad school). We love having grandpets!

Only two of my 6 dogs really like toys, so they got Christmas themed toys. I also bought new dog beds for all of them.

I got out two bunnies a baby toy. It’s like the split shower rings, I think parents use it to attach things to a stroller so kids don’t throw out a rattle or toy. But for bunnies they work really well hanging things without risk of strangulation, and the like to pick them up and throw them. So we can hand a hangable treat from a string of them to keep off the floor. But where they have access.

Oh my, where to begin? We spoil our cat and dog at Christmas! Our dog, a nine year old Papillon, loves to open gifts so that makes it even more fun. Plus, DH and I have fun watching our girls (16 and 13) get more excited for what the pets got than what they got LOL
Our dog is getting a new collar, two of his favorite treats, a new set of chew keys, and a couple stuffed/unstuffed animals. Our cat, who will turn 1 in January, is a nut and he’s getting all sorts of cat toys from Amazon that will encourage his crazy to come out full bore. We can’t wait!

Mine are in the 30% that get nothing. Our Bella cat who passed earlier thos year, her gift was always the boxes and warpping paper. She loved a good dive and hide in the paper. They don't like treats and only like cat nip, so nothing to buy.

We learned today that Remi can’t handle more than 1 toy under the tree…..he went a bit apeshit 🙄 Most years our tree is in the front room where he’s not allowed without an invitation but this year we put it up in the dining room so he found his stuff right away.
He get a new blanket (actually two but he only gets one at a time because he chews them up🤦🏻♀️)
A tire toy with an attached rope. Last years tire is still going strong so I’m hopeful this will last at least a few weeks.
A tuff unstuffed shark toy. We’ll see if that lasts. You’d think he’d learn he’d have more toys if he treated them nicely and didn’t shred them.

Giving our dog a new toy in his stocking is one of our favorite things about Christmas, because he gets so excited. Even if it is just a new version of a toy he currently has it is like he knows he got a new one and that a new toy is something to be excited about. He also got a new collar in his stocking this year.

It added a lot of joy to our holiday.

Canned dog food on Christmas morning and they both got coordinating harnesses. Our pups don't tear up toys as in NEVER. Their toy basket is full.

Jesse, our Siamese kitty got a second bed for upstairs that he adores and I brought home some water jug rings for him that he loved instantly. We don't get the jugs here at home so he had a blast with those rings.
The bed is from Amazon and is made of felted merino wool. It's called "Feltcave Cat Cave Bed Handmade from Wool" and is made by crafters in Nepal from and is made from 100% all natural boiled wool. Jesse got his first one about a year ago and he adores these beds! He can't wait for me to unwrap them from the plastic and then he jumps in them, then out then in again-over and over. Some cats like going into the cave like area and some cats squash them down and sleep on the top of them. Jessie is a squasher.

This year I didn't really get gifts for the pets. I often do but they are spoiled 365 so...
I take that back. Toby dog did get a package of 2 new balls. They are just a little too big to roll under the couch (for the millionth time!!!) and cause him to beg for assistance.
But really, who am I kidding. That was a gift for me and any of the humans he demands for help.😂

Bess got a bag of Greenies and a motorized mouse from my parents. She was very confused by the mouse at first. She waited for it to scoot by her, and then she promptly picked it up with her teeth and carried it off. Subsequent times playing with it has not lessened the confusion.
