Well I don't have a million dollars, but I DO have $250 in M's gc's.
If you had this to spend, what would YOU buy?
I know that over a while I could fritter my cards away on paper and pens and stickers and... but because this is a gift, I would like to get something that in non consumable. Last time I had this wealth after Christmas, I got my Minc machine. Think my Cameo was a boxing day purchase with gc's. Got it half price. When I had less to spend, I got a ribbon printer.

I personally would buy a hot foil system or a motorized die cutter. Have fun!

I'd need some more space first (especially since we're both WFH part-time permanently now). I'm not going to be of much help because if space wasn't a major issue, I'd get an electronic die-cutter which you already have, grammadee . I'd perhaps think of putting some money towards a sewing machine as well (not just for scrapbooking although I do love a stitched look on paper). mom 's idea of storage sounds great too.

That is a tough one! I think it would mostly be spent on albums, if they still have decent ones. In the past, I'd buy Xyron X refills with a coupon. It seems those are tougher to find.
My scrapbook items are stored by category. It's easy to find, but they are stored different ways. Like metal dies in a binder, CD crate, and metal bin. Maybe some organization items if your storage like mine.

In the last 6+ months, I've noticed that Michaels has started offering a lot of nice brands as online only (Pinkfresh, Prima, MFT, American Crafts, Sizzix, etc), kind of like JoAnn does. While these are priced slightly higher than normal, I think you can use the 20% off your total purchase coupon, which would bring them back down to regular price. I think I'd stock up on some great Pinkfresh basic dies. The other thing I'd do is buy like a million sheets of this shimmer/sparkle paper. Michaels only carries it in 8.5x11 and in 8 colors, but the silver shimmer is the prettiest I've ever seen. It's kind of a mixture between glitter and shimmer cardstock, I've truly never seen any other paper like it and I hoard the pieces I have. It's kind of expensive so I don't use it much, but I love it soooo much. (The pictures online don't do it justice at ALL, you have to see it in person.)

I've never seen that before but it looks gorgeous. I bet it would be beautiful for Dickers and other die cuts. grammadee, I'd either go with a new die cutting machine or storage. Have fun shopping!

I'd get organization - storage stuff. I got some of their Totally Tidy products. Really nice stuff

I won a gc from Joann’s once and used it to buy my Fiskars Procision trimmer. It’s not something I would buy normally but it was the best use of my gc.

I'd get the drawers. I went to IKEA last month and bought the Alex drawers and they have been awesome. I expect the Michaels brand of drawers would also be nice.

Given the only items I've bought at Michael's in at least five years are Versafine Clair ink pads (on clearance for $2/each in February), I'd likely put it toward a Silhouette Cameo 4 (although uncertain whether I'd buy the black or white machine). Happy shopping!

I'm in a FB organization group and someone just asked about a comparison between Alex and the Michael's Simply Tidy line...the overall consensus was Ikea is much high quality.
I would go for the Minc/glimmer machine. I have all the cutters and organizational items I need though.

If you have convenient access to Ikea, get their drawers. I purchased the Michaels drawers a couple months ago and to be honest I was very disappointed in them. The drawer runners/sliders are plastic. I'm willing to bet my next paycheck that the Ikea drawers have metal runners. I don't know how long they will last but luckily, I'm not using it to store anything heavy. What I do like about the Michaels drawers is that they are all the same height. The Ikea drawers have deeper bottom drawers than the top ones.

i used to love M's back when they had great coupons and carried tim holtz products. i used to be in there several times a week but haven't bought anything from them for almost 2 years. i went in once and hated how they rearranged the store and how they have really cut down the SB dept.
having said that, if i had $250, i would probably buy some organizing stuff like those rolling carts. that or a cricut air 2.

Haven't decided yet. I have a Minc for foiling on laser printed or reactive materials. After I read your first post, I thought I might like to get something like the Spellbinders glimmer foil system and some dies/stamps for it. Couldn't find what I was looking for in the quick look at the M's site, and not even sure they carry a product like that. If I can't get a bigger item, I may just plan on spending that gc on foils and cardstock all year as I need/want them. Still have family here, so will have to wait, I think, until I am physically in an M's store next Tuesday.

I advise AGAINST Michales knock off organization -- I have 3 of the cubes with drawers and they are total crap. The plastic slides don't stay in their holes, the drawers are constantly off track. The whole thing is flimsy -- I am very disappointed in them. And good luck on what you can find! I haven't spent a nickel in a Michaels store in quite a while - aside from the pandemic limiting my visits to the store, there just hasn't been anything there! It seems that the scrapbook section has been severely limited!

I would get a 12x12 printer but Michaels doesn't sell those so not helpful. With having to get something from Michaels I would have to get some kind of die cut machine. I prefer Cameo so that's what I would have to get.
If not that then storage.

I would get a new set of good markers, and some albums and refills. Things that last a long time and are useful. Maybe new picture frames for a gallery wall or something like that.

Unrelated to scrapping, but I'd use it to get something framed in their framing department. That always seems so expensive, so a gift card would be great for it.

Given that you already have a minc and a cameo, I’d get a Gemini or Gemini Jr plus any accessories. I’d also consider an Ott Light or replacement bulbs. Michaels has gotten so disappointing in the scrap supply lately. Have fun spending!
