DH bought me the Epson PictureMate PM-400 for Christmas. I tried printing a few pictures, but the color seems off.
First try: I used the Epson iPrint app. The first print was okay but didn't match my phone screen. Paper was what was included with the printer.
Second try: I used a different picture for the second print and the color was far too light.
Third try: I tried cleaning the head/nozzles. Again, it was too light. When I select the picture, the color is fine. When it goes to the next screen on my phone, the color lightens significantly. Paper is the Staples brand that was recommended here (and I believe Vicki Boutin uses it?).
Fourth try: I used the Epson Creative Print app this time. This was marginally better, but still not great. A) I can't get the print to fill the screen for a 4x6. It printed at 3x4 or something close to that. B) The print isn't as sharp, but the color was better.
Any suggestions on how to fix this? I was so excited to get this and start printing, but I'm extremely disappointed so far.
ETA: I think I figured it out somewhat. I turned off the Auto Correct setting, which helped with the color. I also figured out how to get a true 4x6 in the Creative Print app. I really need to learn to be more patient!

I hate when technology doesn't perform to my expectations only to find out it was user error!

Having issues with mine too.
I set it up, printed my first 4x6. It was perfect.
Then combined two 3x4s on a 4x6 to print. The first 95% was perfect, but the last bit, along the end margin, was streaked yellow.
Then the 2 subsequent prints were entirely streaked yellow.
I am guessing my ink cartridge is off/bad? It’s how you expect a low cartridge with uneven ink wells to print. It’s ridiculous I got only one good print before it was out though?!! Everyone says they got 100 or so in the starter ink.
