Car manual and all receipts for work done on vehicle. Then I have a second glove box as well which is empty.
Napkins, lint brush, pen, Sudoku book, Kleenex and sunshade all in box between seats. I could fit 3 small dogs in that box..

After the huge manual there really isnāt room to store anything else. Sometimes things accumulate there but I never use my glove compartment. Only time it is opened is if I need to get out the manual. This car is new enough that I donāt think I have collected anything in it yet.
I keep most used stuff in the compartment between the seats.
ETA I do have a small flashlight in there also after thinking about it.

Yes, I do in fact! lol. I use them for weather when the steering wheel is cold but outside might no be cold enough for me to put on gloves to walk from the house to the car. I always start the winter with four or five pairs of those little one-size-fits-all kind.... they end up migrating to the house so every once in awhile I go around collecting them and putting them back in the glove compartment. lol
In addition to those I of course have the other random stuff... car manual, registration, a few pens, take-out forks and spoons, a few straws, receipts, etc. Not sure actually what's in there now though.

My glove compartment is full of masks, the manual, a corkscrew and a tire pressure gauge. I have a collapsible crate in the back that I keep two pairs of gloves, a hat, a neck gaiter, packs of tissues, my dog's coat, leashes, poop bags and silicone water bowl.

I keep gloves in the car in winter but not in the glove compartment. I have a basket in the back for a scarf, hat, gloves and extra jacket. There is a change of clothes under one seat and an old pair of shoes. I was caught in a snowstorm once and nearly had to walk home. It was Valentine's day and I was wearing really nice clothes and heels. Fortunately I made it without having to walk but that taught me to be prepared.

Holy moly, Subarus must have really small glove compartments. There is no way I would be able to fit (easily) some of those list in my glove compartment if I keep the big leather thing with all the manuals and car information in there. š
ETA - I have an emergency car kit in the back. During the winter I put in a crate with extra scarf, blanket, mittens windshield washer fluid, kitty litter, yaktraxs, etc.

I donāt because if I needed them I wouldnāt be able to access them from the driverās seat while driving. I keep some gloves in the center console between the front seats. My glove box has the car manual, a bunch of extra napkins, some plastic straws, the paperwork from purchasing tires and thatās about it.

I keep the smaller quick guide car manual in the glove compartment. The big manual is in the house. There would be no room for anything else if I kept the big manual in there.
Also in there are: Tire gauge Tire lock key Car registration Spare face mask And a few other small stuff
I keep my main sunglasses in the overhead compartment that is made for glasses. And then I keep my phone charging cord, extra glasses, and pens in the compartment in the middle console.
No gloves in the car. Not needed in So Cal. š
ETA - I keep hand sanitizer in one of the cup holders. It is a pump top, so It is very easy to use without touching anything else in the car.

Manual, which apparently needs to be about three books
Masks
In the holder between the front seats, hand sanitizer, masks, dog poo bags, wheel lug (I think there what it's called)

Manual Registration Extra surgical masks That thing to unlock your lug nuts
The center console holds more and it has gloves, a hat, hand sanitizer, a tire pressure gauge, headphones, fabric masks, an N95, lots of things I don't use except the sanitizer.
In my trunk I have an emergency bag with a sweat suit, slip on shoes, underwear, meds, toiletries, and a blanket so I'm prepared if I should ever have to stay over at work or get stuck in my car (practical during winter or for an emergency).

I wear leather gloves. If I kept them in the car, I'd never put them on because they would be freezing cold. I keep the car manual, a pen, a small change purse, my registration and insurance cards and a small razor blade (for scraping off the inspection/registration stickers off my windshield) in my glove box. My center console has hand cream and a ton of drive thru napkins.

Car manual Insurance and registration cards
Napkins and straws, because..... order one drink and one burger and one small fry and receive >> 26 napkins, 8 straws and 22 packets of ketchup (which I always say "no thank you" to the "do you want ketchup" question because I don't like ketchup.

Hahaha fun thread! I was curious to know what treasures were in my glove box, so I just went and pulled everything out: Car manual A stack of papers that (a) I'm too scared to look at and (b) I will have to go through eventually My son's L Plates (learned driver) empty Panadol container several masks sticky tape hair clip CD two (?!) toothbrushes two (?!) dental flosses pens and pencils tampons (I haven't used them in years) two sunscreens blue nail polish three post it note pads foundation Cicaplast Baume - I have no idea what this is for and no recollection of buying it my passport (I can't find my licence so I took it with me to the post office to use as ID) car deodoriser sunglasses case hair brush (ah, so that's where it went!) CD DD's rescue pastilles that she was using when. she did her Year 12 exams...... in 2015!! Red Door perfume that I got as a Kris Kringle gift oh, about 6 years ago and never wear a solitary band-aid An old $5 note (I wanted to keep an old note when the changed the design a few years ago) USB flash drive, unopened Maybe the shame of posting all of that in a public forum will finally get me to clean it out! ![](https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51783828026_68e3a0602c_z.jpg)

I think the only thing in mine is the manual. I can't reach it from the driver's seat so I keep things in the center console. I have a pair of gloves in the door of my vechile. I also have big mitts, a scarf and a toque in the compartment that lifts up in the trunk area of my SUV, in case I have car trouble and wasn't wearing warm enough stuff. And I have gloves on me or in my purse. So 3 pairs of gloves/mitts and none of them in the glove box.

Took me a minute to remember what the "Glove compartment" was. I actually I do have a bag of food service gloves there from early 2020 when there was a great deal of worry that COVID could be spread by touching surfaces. I used them when touching the fuel pump at the gas station. There is also a box of disposable masks for times I forget to take one of my re-usable ones with me. There is a pair of winter gloves in the console between the front seats; along with random who knows what.

No, because I can't reach it from the driver's seat. There is a center cubby thing between the front seats I'd put my gloves in if I could find them...
What is in there: insurance cards (DH and I had a problem with him keeping them all in his wallet and me finding out I didn't have one when I was driving so now they go from mailbox directly to the glove compartment), probably some nail clippers, and a pack of baby wipes. It doesn't lock anymore (OK it won't unlock, so I don't lock it) so nothing important.

I feel like I have so much stuff in my car!
in the glove compartment are the manual, the ownership & insurance papers, a bag full of cloth masks (which takes up a lot of space), an actual paper folding map, and probably other paperwork I don't know about.
in the centre console box are several pairs of gloves/mittens, a ball cap (in case of bad hair days), a hair comb, a cloth for cleaning my sunglasses, disposable masks, a few more cloth masks, and probably more stuff I can't remember. It's a big box in the middle. Then there's a little flat storage area right in front of the gear shift that has hand cream, sunglasses, lip balm, breath mints and some pens.
in the side door pockets are all my folded reusable shopping bags on the drivers side and an ice scraper on the passenger side
in the back I have a basket full of more shopping bags, a cloth for cleaning the inside of my windshield, a light jacket, a sweater, more ball caps, more gloves, probably an extra pair of socks, and some sanitizer wipes
in the trunk I usually always have my golf clubs, golf pull cart in case I have to walk the course, and extra golf balls - but it's winter so they're out right now
oh and under the seat are some jumper cables & umbrellas & a snow brush
it sounds like a lot but its actually well organized. And there's no garbage in there, that goes out immediately

Great thread. I almost never open the glove box unless I need to look up something about the car. I keep the car manual, registration, inspection receipt, flashlight, and tire gauge. My kids may have shoved things in there -- but I haven't looked lately. They tend to put napkins and ketchup from eating in my car. I never eat in my car.
The center console has charger wires, spare masks, disposable gloves, pen and pad, bandaids, and the car wash coupons.
I keep my gloves in the car door.

Glove box only has the manual, registration and a duplicate car insurance card. I also carry one in my wallet.
The center console has the phone charger, a little pouch with gift cards, small notebook and pencil and hand sanitizer.
DH is a stickler about not having anything else in the car. There currently is a box of Kleenex and masks in the back seat at my insistence, but he usually puts those on the floor out of reach.
We keep the key to the mailbox in the overhead sunglass holder. Itās too small for my current pair of Jimmy Choo prescription sunglasses. Plus, as mentioned above, Iāve heard thatās not a good place to store sunglasses.
No gloves in the winter because my car has a heated steering wheel. I do have a pair of those small knit gloves in both of my winter coats pockets. If I think I need a heavier pair for scraping the snow off of the car, Iāll take them with me as needed.

Also, until recently I had no idea the overhead sunglasses compartment was intended that way. I keep cash in thereā¦and gift cards I STILL forget to use.
