Last night I scrapped three simple pandemic layouts.

I'm not scrapping the pandemic as extensively as I had been, but when a big bit of news hits, I take a screenshot to include on a future page.

I wanted to scrap a whole 12x12 of my dd, who got omicron even after being vaxxed/masked/doing everything "right."


I haven't made any progress on my holiday layouts. I seem to be frozen, and not know where to really start, though I separated the photos by days/events.

I'm going to wait to do them until I really feel them and am in the mood.

Well, I am 2/3 done with the January BOBW kit (I made) from Shimelle.

Here are some thoughts:

While I like the idea of having a kit and stash busting, I take a LOT of what I would consider themed photos. Birthday, snow days, walks, dogs, my mom, my kids doing various things, school activities, (a lot pre pandemic) and other things. I really had to work to make her kit work for me, as I had to scrounge around trying to find non themed photos. I did have some, random one off kind of things that I wanted to scrap. But for the upcoming month (Feb) I am still going to pull together a kit, but it will be very themed and I am going to work on photos from 4th of July at the lake. So I will follow along, and attempt to use her LO, but I found I need a LOT more structure in my kits! This was pretty interesting for me as I have 2(!!!) very full IRIS boxes labeled "Random patterned paper". WHY? (because it was pretty)

Didn't get several layouts done, just two. Funny how every single time I seem to have a free moment, the family suddenly needs my help urgently.

I finished two first day of school layouts. They're a little underwhelming, but they're finished.

I started DD on 12/31 and I completed it on 1/29. 😁 I then finished December in PL, then packed up all the Christmas supplies. 😁 Feels so good! I was able to get in a great groove this past weekend and it all just came together fairly quickly and was very enjoyable.

I’ll still need to fill in some missing journaling in a few spaces for a couple weeks in 2021, but it’s easily 95% complete. I’m not in a big hurry to do it. I haven’t started 2022 PL yet (couldn’t focus on anything but DD while surrounded by holiday stuff) and I’m more eager to get going on that first.

I can’t believe it’s February tomorrow. Already. 😵

I got 8 pages done for dd's pocket page scrapbook.

I also finished my December Daily. Was waiting on a photo to be released from an event to add it on that page.

Also made my Valentine's Day wreath for the front door.

I have times like this too. Sometimes I can look at my holiday photos and easily cull it down to what will fit on one or two spreads, and other times I just end up printing way more than I can use because I just decide. I've learnt its best to just walk away and do something else at this point. At least you still made progress!
