I'm checking in again. I haven't been good about chatting, been too busy at work lately, and my brain is mush at night. But, I've been creating when I can. And, the last 2 weekends I've been at crops, and will be again for the next 2 weekends!!! So I have some points to calculate. It's a bit overwhelming, lol. I'm trying to decide my best route for tallying the points. I'm going to try to post some points before I go this weekend, but not sure I'll have the time to get it posted. Then soon I'll have some layouts/projects to share. I haven't taken any photos of them yet.

It's a bit overwhelming, lol. I'm trying to decide my best route for tallying the points. Years ago when we were meeting with our CPA, I noticed he had random numbers painted on his ceiling. When we asked about them, he told us when someone doesn't know a figure, he tells them to pick one. He was kidding ~ we think!! So pick a number.

March is going to be spent prepping for a 4-day crop in April so the prepping will be where most of my points come front. Working on my layout prep and finishing up my journaling.

Did anyone scrapbook this weekend? I admit it was in my plans but I just couldn't get my mojo going this weekend. I ended up finishing a crochet project this weekend, though, so there's some other crafts and bonus points from finishing a project for me. I need to add up my points from February too. Maybe I will do that tonight.

I wanted to scrapbook but my kits didn’t end up arriving and I had planned to use those. I printed some pictures and cleaned my desk and planned some Things instead.
I need to add up points as well. Besides that place holder thread is there somewhere I am supposed to put my total?

Besides that place holder thread is there somewhere I am supposed to put my total? That is the place to put your points total. At the end of the quarter, we will add them all up and get our team total. But I found it beneficial since the challenges were quarterly this time, to break it down month by month. I am going to add up my February points and post them there. I added my January ones already. It makes it easier in my mind to break it down like this. It's almost overwhelming to me to add up a month, let alone three.

Besides that place holder thread is there somewhere I am supposed to put my total? If you use the spreadsheet that is linked in the stickied thread in challenges, it can add all your points for you. I usually tally my points when I share something and then keep a running total in the Q1 Rules etc thread. But I haven’t shared any of my pages while I have been away from home, so I have a lot of math in my future…

I cannot believe it's only Wednesday. Seriously this week is just creeping by. I cleared all my scrapbook stuff off of my dining room table last night for my cleaning ladies to come today without clutter. My Esther is moving this weekend and I'm definitely taking over her room. I've been searching for some fun wallpaper to paper one of the walls in there. Her room is gray, which is fine for her, but I'm totally not a gray person. I need some color. I can't wait to get in there, though, because I will have a place to work my job and work on my crafts without having to put everything away all the time.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to the Friday afternoon crop. I hope some of you will join me there. I know weekdays can be a tough time for people to make it. But I'd love to see the Scissor Sisters turn out. Will you be cropping this weekend at all? The big thread will be fun to follow. We have just a few more weeks of Quarter 1 to make it count. Has everyone had fun with the challenges? I know some of you are newbies to the challenges. I have had a lot of fun leading the team. Although, I've had a terrible time keeping up with the sharing thread. Boo on me for not providing more compliments. Anyway, these are my midweek thoughts. LOL! I appreciate all of you guys.

I have done a couple of the challenges. They were hard for me to keep track of. I think this quarterly challenge was a “learning” one for me. Now that I now what to expect I feel I would participate in those more next time. Next time I’d make a written list of what the challenges are as they get posted so I can easily refer to them when I’m scrapping. This time I’d be working on something and think, “wasn’t so and so a challenge?” but I wouldn’t want to stop my project and try to search through each challenge post… I did learn how to post a picture so I was able to share some of my pages for the first time so that was fun. I also was not the best at keeping up with comments on that thread but tried when I remembered! Overall I’m very glad to have been participating and just using this “side” of 2peas more! Thank you jeremysgirl for encouraging me to post over here! It’s basically your “fault” 😂❤️

Hey Sisters! How ya doin'? Did you play along with the crop sleepingbooty set up for us? Get a chance to join in on any of the virtual crops? I am slowly getting settled again at home after being away for three weeks. But I basically ignored house cleaning while I unpacked from my time away and then scrapped during the crop. This next week I must do some serious work around this house. Also have alot of housekeeping chores around here. I have kept up with the posts in the Crop thread and in the Gallery, but I really need to go through the Q1 Sharing thread and leave some love. I also need to continue to post the pages I put together while away, and to add up my points!!Also need to start thinking about setting up Quarter TWO soon. Any advice you have on that front? paget --and all the eother Sisters--I hope you continue to play along with us in the next quarter.
kelly8875, I think I get better at meeting challenges after I have used the printed list to score a few projects. Each time I use it, I am reminded that "Oh yeah, there are points for [stars]" and then I will remember to slap some onto the next page I do. I don't usually start out to "meet a challenge". I start out to scrap a particular set of photos &/or story. Often I will see a sketch, or maybe a theme challenge, and think that would help me do that, so then I start working on the pic's andd story from that angle, but my focus is always on scrapping what I want to scrap. The challenges just give me some ideas on HOW I can do that. cadoodlebug , I am in awe of your having your IRL crop so well planned. I tend to print a bunch of pic's, throw a ton of stuff into my vehicle and set out. If there is a store on site, I pick up things I had forgotten to bring from home--and some other things, besides.

I used to do it like you but I find that since I do my journaling on my computer, I HAVE to have the layouts planned ahead, KWIM? Especially the past few crops where I'm working on our travels in Europe. More pictures, less fluff! Although I do have a lot more memorabilia than I thought. I learned to take plastic page protectors and have them labeled for each day and/or city we visited. Makes it easier to remember what came from where.

Good morning, Sisters. Quick reminder to count DOUBLE any points you earned Friday the 11th to to TODAY! That includes by-the-hour points for organizing, crafting, or being on line with jeremysgirl or one of the other virtual crop hosts!
I hope to get another 2-pager done today. If the scrap gods... and my dh... cooperate.

I am happy to have made several pocket scrapbook pages this weekend. Hoping to get a few more made today. Ds and I are down with allergies from the spring winds and pollen. Both needed an extra dose of our allergy med and allergy eye drops so no school today as we are tired.

I was able to get one more done. I'm hoping after work, I can sit down and work a bit more today. We shall see.

So even if I didn't join on line, I should double my points for the pocket pages I made? YES! For everything! The pages. Any Q1 or 28-4-28 challenges met. The time you spent putting them together, organizing the elements beforehand and putting them away afterward. (as long as that time was spent within the 4 day window). And don't forget points for any of @sleepinbooty's Bingo squares met on your PL pages.

I started out the quarter doing well both with points and crafting. It’s dwindled quite a bit with so much else going on IRL. I’m hoping to get some done this weekend, but I’m probably not going to be focused until May when I hope this slow down, yet now thinking about it they probably won’t!

Well, geez, you don't mean you're ready for more scrapbooking after 4 crop weekends?? What's wrong with you? No, but seriously, I can't wait to see pictures. And don't forget to take double points for everything you did last weekend.

I can't believe I just admitted to that! (But I'm considering a day-crop the following weekend!)

Speaking of burn out, I am spending the day doing scrappy homework. Still putting away supplies and scraps from my time away. And while I was at it sorted the huge pile of scraps on my counter and got those stowed as well. Added up points from the LO's I brought back with me. Still have two more LO's to share and count. And, I notice that in the flurry of packing up to leave I had not counted points for pages I had put together earlier in February. So [sigh] I will need to do some more math...
Checking off the 28-4-28 challenges I have met, and it looks like I have just three left to earn the bonus. Even know which photos I could scrap to meet them. But not feeling terribly creative right now...

You are local to me. Where do you find 4 day crops? A friend from my former town lives in Folsom and is a Creative Memories consultant. She's been holding semi-annual crops in Sutter Creek for years. This is crop #33. I can send you info if you're interested.

grammadee “scrappy homework” made me laugh. Yeah, I’ve got some of that, too. I don’t want to try and figure out my points. I wish I had been keeping better track! Looking forward to doing some scrapping today and tomorrow between my other plans and obligations!

I've gotten a lot done this weekend. I've got 14 more layouts ready for the crop Apr 7-10th. The rest of the layouts will be from our time in Sorrento where we explored the Amalfi Coast so I'm really looking forward to those layouts.
