The contrast of gray lines against the white wasn’t sufficient for my bad eyes, and the owner worked with me to figure out the % of black to give more contrast. I happen to have a gray scale like photographers use - a strip of cardboard that goes from white to black in 10% increments - and he had the specs of what % they used originally. Since then he’s added a note on the website that if you want a different contrast to let them know. What percentage did you end up using? It is just a dark gray? Or almost black? Mine is 80% so is dark gray/close to but not black black. The standard board they make now is 30%, so a pretty light gray. At first they made the lines 100% black and some apparently complained it was too dark so they went the other direction. Can’t please everyone! Since each board is made to order, it’s apparently no trouble to customize. Honestly if it was 100% black I’m sure I would have been fine too. I want the contrast and especially appreciate diagonal lines for strip cards. If interested I’d check out Mary Polanco’s youtube channel since she may have a good discount code.

110 lb ready made card bases Since paper weight by pounds is variable - for instance Nina Classic Crest 80 pound is much heavier/thicker than Nina Exact Index 80 pound, and only gsm gives an exact weight comparison, you might like The Paper Cut’s pre-scored 100 lb. card bases. They have a couple of nice whites, a bunch of colors and some sample color packs in A2, plus other sizes. I’ve used their cardstock since buying it years ago in a local stamp shop, and when the shop went out of business bought some from their booth at a Stamp and SB Expo, and now on line. It’s not the only paper I use but I’ve never been disappointed. They have different sizes and shapes, but for A2 - Colors: thepapercut.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=TPC&Category_Code=SCPOPTONESETA - Sorry, this is color sample pack of envelopes - I’ll have to find the one for cardstock later. thepapercut.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=TPC&Product_Code=A2EnvPTVAR&Category_Code=A2SCVARWhites - Cougar is nice, and Neenah Classic Crest is there: thepapercut.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=TPC&Offset=16&SortBy=&Category_Code=SCWHITESThey also have pre-cut window cards and other types. The website can be a bit confusing but CS is excellent, family business. ETA - oh, the Neenah Classic Crest is 110 pound, almost 300 gsm (297).

I'd love to see a scrapbook or paper line for the Golden Girls - papers, stickers, embellishments. But I dobut I'll see that! There's a stamp set!
I'm not sure what I want to see. I have a good sized stash and my life is quite different than most people. Which means what I want probably wouldn't be profitable.

Thanks for your replies. I wish for non-themed, white-based, clean, & modern collections in neutral color palettes, which allow for the addition of team/school/whatever colors as applicable, to document travel to major cities, visits to museums/monuments, attendance of pro sporting events as a spectator, participation in college/young adult activities/first apartment/etc., & more. I'm not even sure there are new ideas anymore for product. What else could they sell us that they haven't before? I would love something new, just for the sake of having something exciting to look forward to. this couldn't be more true! i haven't truly, stark raving LOVED any new products in years... Ditto. I wish manufacturers would respond with "Hold my scissors!" & accept the challenge to brainstorm/offer new ideas/products, rather than continue to release the same themes, sentiments, color palettes, etc. every year. I wish manufacturers would include supplemental alpha sheets with common vowels and consonants... It continues to baffle me this frequent request is never fulfilled. As a result, I stopped buying letter stickers years ago & invested in alpha dies (& a couple stamps) in basic/usable fonts, so I always have enough vowels! I want a craft room clean-up droid. Now I do too! ...I recently bought the WeRMK stencil mat for stenciling, and it's far FAR better than the glass mat as it holds the stencil and paper in place without tape or magnets, and the ink works so much better on that *slightly* cushioned surface. If you are someone who uses stencils - I recommend it... Thanks for the recommendation. Do you have an official product name &/or link? TIA.

Just fyi for comparison, Waffle Flower has a regular sized one and a mini that people who enjoy a softer surface like a lot. That’s the one I tried and it’s sold in a number of places. waffleflower.com/products/stencil-mat

I am baffled as to why manufacturers cannot seem to listen to this one simple request. The offerings for tween or teen scrapbook materials (of either gender, but masculine in particular) are 99% of the time so tone deaf and just off.

What else could they sell us that they haven't before? Mini oxide inks TH has said in the past the formulation for the oxide inks doesn't work in the mini size.

Agreed! I have this idea bouncing around in my head of a way to customize letter stickers. I guess they would have to be flat and cut similar to silhouette machine style, but basically you could pick the rows of letters. So there could be 26 rows and you could choose more rows of vowels and then the consonants that you use more. I am thinking of families where you use a lot of the same initial for kids, surnames, where you live, etc. There could probably be a way to do it with thicker type stickers too. Heck, they aren't even sticky, so just forget the whole sticky part and be able to select "10 A's, 10 E's, 5 J's, etc." in a pack. Kind of like loose chipboard pieces. I'm sure there are algorithms that could figure out which letters need more of, etc. This is all bcz I loathe messing around with diecut machines, etc. I also too did purchase some nice sets of die letters from scrapbook.com to help with this very reason. But it would be nice to just pull out a sheet/pack that was ready to go.

I would like a range of grown up, well designed papers in classy colour schemes. In other words, I'd like a reincarnation of Basic Grey please. Occasionally I sift through papers in my stash and come across something which catches my eye...something that stands out as "different". 9 times out of 10 it's an old sheet of BG.

I'd love to see pet papers that aren't cutesy and don't insist that cats are pink.
I'd like to see new embellishments or even some throwback embellishments. It just seems that every line has the same things every time. I miss old scrapbook stores and all of the variety of embellishments that existed.
I agree on more "techy" paper and less cliched masculine paper.

I wish companies would include more "B-side" styles and colors that can be used with their themed line--esp. in a modern styling. (Can be a featured print though, doesn't need to be a "B-side" as if those are afterthoughts.) So not a whole bunch of different floral papers, or 2-3 papers with a version of polka dots, but mix in some fresh and modern patterns to allow us to do something more than the exact theme. Please include colors that expand the line rather than stay in a narrow range. Esp. if it can make the line more modern, less cutesy and more versatile if desired. The people who want to go with the theme in a traditional way can do so, but others can create another take without being married to the exact line/theme.
Don't be afraid to use different fonts within the line.
12x12 chipboard that shows variety of images (not all super cutesy, or are the same ones used time and time again like a chain of banner flags) and simple words that can be paired with many other DIY Thicker words to make a unique title.

Project life style page protectors where you don't have to use the same design on each side. If that makes sense.
I won't speak on themes and whatnot that are missing in scrapbooking since that's another topic.

I've been wanting a "We R Memory Keepers storage project cart". I've been reading the reviews on various websites and they are not good.....multiple complaints about the quailty, as well as multiple reports of not easy to assemble because of the poor merchandise quality. Now I am rethinking my plan to purchase. I have a visa gift card to use, and am not finding anything similar. Other than bakery carts and trays (that they put pastries, doughnuts, etc...) on, but they are all much higher in price. I really like the style of the we r memory cart, because each tray can be removed from the rack. It all stacks in the rack so nicely, it's a space saver. Too bad there are so many complaints about the product. I have thought about making the purchase (Joanns has the best price with coupon) , and if I put it together and it's crappy....return it, but not sure how I would get refunded if I used a visa gift card.....because I wouldn't want a store gift card as a replacement. I really love mine and use it all of the time. It’s great for in progress layouts or pages you are drying. It’s not crappy IMO and works for how we scrappers will use it. I agree as well!

There are some brands that used to make these so you can sometimes find them on smaller scrapbook shop websites - I know that Doodlebug was one that had a vertical 6x8 pocket and 4 4x6 pockets around it

I can't tell you if they are good quality, I don't know if the pockets are the sizes etc that you are after, but here is a link to what they made (pages folded on the outside seam and only two of the styles have the same design on both sides): link
