Happy New Year! It's -12 F here this morning, with a wind chill of -30. Our son and his kids are going to the NHL Winter Classic hockey game at Target Field today. I should get some great photos of how bundled up they are! DS bought everyone new winter gear. Crazy kids! I look forward to creating layouts of that. I'm sure cindyupnorth and our friends in Canada can share some even more bone chilling temperatures.

Happy New Year!
It's 69 F here and DD is out on the river canoeing with her Girl Scout troop. Honestly I'm ready for some cooler weather. Maybe we can do a trade?

Well mikklynn , I hate to quibble with you, but I am showing -11 with the windchill at -31... My DD is driving back home to Duluth this am, where it's a cool -15. I hope you get some good photos, while it is super cold, I was just outside with the dog and the sun is shining brighly so it is very pretty out! I was getting depressed with all that gray...I plan on working on a LO this morning and might get some inspiration from the Spotlight LO from grammadee ! Stay warm!

Happy New Year!
I took just a few group selfies with my younger kids (the ones willing to hang with mom, LOL) last night to commemorate NYE.
This weekend I would like to finish uploading photos from both my camera & phone, and place an order.
And who is holding me back from that? Oh, just me and my procrastination. 😂

Good morning! We've been hitting -40 degrees Celsius for the past 2 weeks. I'm perfectly content to stay inside but the rest of my family is getting cabin fever. Happy to report that I'm done with my DD and am working on my PL 2021. I have to catch up on a couple of months then I'm finished that as well. Pictures are printed and sorted by week so it should be a fairly smooth process. I think if I had a separate station for my PL stuff I could work on it easier instead of having to pull out my stuff each time. Might need to do some planning to see if I can rearrange things to make that work.

Temps hovering below -40 here--which is the same frigid number whether measured in C or F.
Still have family here, so not scrapping yet, but hoping to print Christmas photos on Tuesday. Family was supposed to go skiing today, but *for some reason* decided to stay inside...

Family was supposed to go skiing today, but *for some reason* decided to stay inside... I can't imagine why they would not go skiing! Surely the slopes would not be busy, haha. My son and grands are still here. Delta canceled their flight for this morning. Their flight here was canceled, too, so they finally arrived on the 27th.

Sitting down in a clean room, listening to upbeat instrumental music on Spotify, and finally having the chance to even think about scrapping.
I don't know where to start.
The piles of unfinished layouts on the shelves?
Halloween photos that haven't been touched yet?
School portraits from Autumn 2021 that haven't been touched yet either?
Or any other of the multitudes of photos or untouched photos from the past few years?
LOL.....

I have set up a temporary scrapping space in the living room, and I am LOVING it! I made 18 cards a few days ago, and now am working on killing an old 6x6 pad with thank you cards (MME Sky'sthe Limit). The lughting is horrible in there, so for the embossing portion I have to run into the kitchen, but that's okay. 😀

So, didn't have that much time to scrap after all. Embellished three summer layouts before being called away to do other things. Oh well.
While prepping & cooking several main dishes for the first half of the week, I ordered Nov & December 2021 photos. Glad I didn't wait too long into the month, or I probably wouldn't have gotten around to it.

Just completed 9 weeks of PL 2021...photos were already in the pockets, just had to add cards and journalling. Kept things simple to get things finished. Also printed out the last weeks of December...which I will finish up tomorrow I think. The end is in sight and I'm ready to put this project to bed!

Happy New Year everyone! It' been in the 60's here with a temp drop expected. I kicked off the new year rather badly with DH sick since Christmas and DS1 and his family inviting friends over instead of joining us for the big traditional meal we had prepared. I am still really hurt about that. Last week DIL spent 3 days in the hospital trying to keep from delivering DGD2 who is due Feb 14th. They think she will be born this week or next.
I am giving DIL a baby shower on Jan 22nd and have planned several cute things for it. I've been picking up random tea cups and saucers and each person can take one home. I got random tea pots for each table and someone at the table will get that too. My theme is sugar and spice so I bought little 1.5 ounce jars with pink lids, one for pink sugar and one for a pink spice, then I put them in bags with a bow and card telling them what is in the spice and thank you for coming. It looks like baby girl will actually be attending at this point.
I also bought a lovely metal trifold frame and put in baby and childhood photos of the women in the family that I could get photos of. I couldn't get many of DIL's family so I used some from ancestry.com and the women are grown but at least included. I think this will be really fun to look at!
I am starting ice skating lessons with DGD. We are starting with a private lesson. I always wanted to learn, and about 35 years ago in my late 20's I took beginner lessons. Well I am now picking up where I left off, with a 3 year old. I hope she likes it because I have picked up skates for her in the next 6 sizes. If we can get some cute pictures that will be a bonus!
So all of this in the next few weeks will create lots of new photos to scrap. Which is the last thing I need, but life goes on, thankfully!

This is the summer I MUST convince my DH that we need some aircon installed. Have been pretty unproductive here ( I came the heat) but hoping to get some cards finished off today and tomorrow.

I can't believe how dirty my self-healing mat gets! I usually clean it with Clorox wipes, but it still looked grungy. I used a Mr Clean eraser on it and wow, so much better. It did remove a slightly shiny finish, but most of that was worn off anyway.

I don't think I've been in my scrapbook area all month! I need to take time to order photos, too.
I thought retirement would bring more free time...
