Using the circles, and then doing the pleated snowflakes, make these look like completedly different cards from the sample, yet the card design is still very much there. Oh, and Happy Birthday to Baxter! I agree! They're completely different and yet still obviously inspired by the sketch. It's a good reminder that we can change things up. My first reaction to this sketch was that it was nice but not particularly "new" or different from past designs. Even just adding a circle or oval in place of the sentiment/image piece would give this design a little more pizzaz, but your snowflake rosettes are just stunning. And I as always I love your color palette. |

azcrafty, congrats on the honor of being asked to be on the Sheetload of Cards Design Team. You definitely deserve it. Your cards are always so exquisite. These are no exception jjpeapea, I love the colors on your cards for this month. The blues and lavender are so pretty together. The double layered HELLO is a great sentiment. I love having some more generic cards on hand. I want to remember these and make some hello cards. Lovely set. Linda, you know I love that pad of paper! These are so pretty. No need for a sentiment when the beautiful patterned paper says it for you. Beautiful. I like making cards that can be personalized as I need them. I make up a batch with just "Sending you... or Wishing you..." and then make a variety of inside sentiments, "...a very Happy Birthday, ...our Sincere Sympathy", etc and keep them loose in the bag. When I need them, I pick an appropriate inside sentiment, attach it and send it off. That's what I did on these.  January 2022 Sheetload of Cards

nylene your cards are beautiful. Love that coral pp and little plant- is that a die? I love your idea for the sentiment. I usually leave some cards blank , but your idea would work perfectly to gift. They can always just indicate the occasion in the inside of the card or I can print some simple messages on printer paper and cut it into a panel that they can glue in. I don’t like to commit to sentiments until I know what I need but it’s helpful to have some ready to go when you need them. That paper piecing looks like a lot of trouble to me but you’re very good at it!
