When do you consider a kit or collection “killed”?
Is it a certain number of projects made? Down to scraps of under a certain size? Only “unusable” stickers/embellishments remaining? When you’re tired of it? Do you generally sort the remainder to your stash, purge, or toss (because there’s so little left)?

I have a small collection kit (including sticker sheet) and matching ephemera pack, and I’ve already made 3 double-page LOs and one single page. I still have a ton left. I plan to make a few more LOs and maybe some cards, but I’d really like to kill it while it’s on my desk.
Last year I tried to kill a Christmas collection after using it for JYC/DD, and I made 23 additional LOs (ready for photos) and still have a good chunk left.

I've never referred to using all or most of something, with that terminology.
I would never leave a kit intact, that is just not my style or way of doing things. If I purchased a kit, it would immediately or within a reasonable time frame, get sorted into whichever category it's going. Whether it was all going in one category (like Christmas) or into multiple categories. If something didn't fit in a specific category, it would go in the miscellaneous binder or miscellaneous paper holder.
I store the majority of my stuff by theme(Christmas, outdoors, entertainment, food, vacation, etc...). I have about 30 or so themed storage categories (13 x 13 plastic storage envelopes).

I consider them killed when I reasonably can't make any further layouts in my normal style with what is left. That might mean I only have paper scraps left, or only embellishments that I just don't like.
That said, I don't typically scrap with kits or single collections, and if I do they are homemade versions, so I'm more likely to get bored with it before I use it all up. At that point I would just sort everything back into my stash.

I've never bought monthlykits, but I do buy themed collection packs, like zoo or Christmas.
I consider it finished when it's nothing but bits left. A sticker or two, just small paper scraps.
Then I put those bits in the two gallon Ziploc bag with the rest of that theme.
Or I'll make one last layout with all those small bits layered with coordinating paper strips against the left side edge of the background paper, then leave the right side with lots of white space to add a photo, small title, and a little journaling.

I scrap from collections a lot. When I’m done…no large blocks of paper, stickers/ephemera I don’t care for, or just no use for it any more, I put it aside in a bag and will eventually give it away or, starting this year, make cards with it.

I would say it’s killed when most of the papers are used up and nothing is inspiring me. I’m working through an elles studio monthly kit now. I feel like it’s multiplying as I use it. I think I have made 4-5 project life spreads. I have 2 cards I might use up still but another 3 are probably getting trashed as well as some of the embellishments. I’m close to calling it killed. It’s cannot revive it with anything interesting.

I split up the leftovers when I'm down to only small scraps of paper - not sufficient on their own for a layout. I don't have monthly kits though - just collection kits

For me it’s when I’ve used enough of the coordinating items until there’s just bits and pieces that don’t go together. Sometimes it’s just scraps with random ephemera or it has been a full page or two of paper that just didn’t work with the others. I put it in my stash then and the items I won’t use since I just don’t like it goes into the donate pile. I don’t get kit clubs anymore since I didn’t use them (until I forced myself to this past year), but I do at times end up get sucked into buying entire. Collection and I end up doing the same thing there

The few times I have bought a kit, it gets separated into various Iris 12x12 containers.
Some of the papers will work for ds, some for dd. Stickers go in the Iris photo containers, letter stickers go in my Sterilite container.
It gets broken up that I wouldn't even begin to tell you what collection it's from and if I used it all.
I know I do have Christmas paper from a HipKit Club kit I ordered years ago.

I like to mix companies so I don't do straight kits. And I like to mix between a company. Just how I scrapbook. Not a strick line/kit person.

I feel like it’s multiplying as I use it. Yes! This is how I feel when I decide “I’m going to use up this collection or kit (kill it) instead of putting it back.” It just never seems to end!

I'm done with a kit when I'm tired of using it. At that point, I keep any papers I still like and put them in my general paper stash. Same with embellishments. Anything I don't like or isn't my style gets donated or trashed at that point.

I'm still using up a kit from 2010 and I agree, the paper seems to be multiplying the more I use it. That being said, if I use at least 70% of the kit I consider it "used up" and will either add the usable parts to other kits I've made or donate them or give them to my daughter. I usually get tired of using the same kit for too much so I've found 70% usage of the kit works for me.

I have a Scrapbook Generation kit that I’m considering it killed as of today. When I first got it l made a few layouts and I did 2 more today. I have no more full pieces of paper just scraps. It came with a full sticker sheet and it’s probably 50% used up. The kit is winter themed and I put everything that’s left with my other winter stash.

Depends on the kit. Depends on how I tend to remember that kit.
If it is distinct and I love using it, the remnants stay in that ziploc bag together until there is barely anything left to use.
Sometimes after I have created a couple of layouts from a collection, the remainder goes to join their friends in a theme category. So red/green/gold Christmas lines all end up together in my Christmas tub; blue/silver in a different location, same tub. All my FALL/Autumn lines end up together, with separate but close places for School and Halloween. Doesn't matter what kit they came in if they all work together.

I have most of my stash sorted by collection, and I very rarely kill anything. For me, it is less about what is left and more about when I just feel done with it. Usually it gets permanently set aside when I have made numerous layouts from it and am having trouble making anymore work with the supplies that are left, or I am just well and truly tired of it. At this point, I tend to either set it aside as remnants of a kit, to be revisited later and refreshed with more supplies, or dismantled and put into my general stash.
I am trying very hard to use up some of my stash this year and purchase less paper so I sincerely hope to kill some kits this year!
