Hi planner peas. I know many share their weekly and monthly layouts on the craft sharing thread and was wondering if anyone would like to have a place to share their planners and talk about them?
If so, would you prefer a weekly thread started on Sunday or a monthly thread started on the 1st of each month? This is where we would share our layouts and talk about our planners, stickers, accessories, etc.
If there are enough peas who would like this, I will be more than happy to start the tread.

I picked Oprah. š I do a weekly planner but itās really a scrapbook in a planner- thereās no planning in it, itās all āafter the fact.ā So Iād be interested to read the thread and maybe get some ideas and inspiration but not sure Iām the target audience.

Oh no, I have watched a few scrap planners and it all seems so interesting to me to use it that way! I love when planners have photos and memorabilia or one I watched for DD (they used a planner) cut paper strips and laid them down in the boxes, made a title and dates and used it to memory keep for the week.

Might be a silly question, but when you say planner do you mean an agenda/bullet journal type thing or a memory planner/daily scrapbook type thing? š
Iām just getting back into scrapbooking and have a couple projects the I need to pick back up and theyāre both in Heidi Swapp planners. I always get confused by her products - seems like sheāll call a couple different products planners or inserts without making it clear what version or edition it is. But I have one in a three ringed binder planner/agenda and the other in the planner inserts that she uses in her Stop The Blur project. Iām treating them like a small versions of PL and not including the chore checklist type stuff that she incorporates in her layouts, and not sure if there are others here doing that sort of thing.
If thatās the case, Iād vote for weekly but acknowledge that Oprah is also always a correct answer. š

Iām using a happy planner but also treating like PL with weekly spreads and even using some PL cards. I donāt do any checklists or anything āplanner-ish.ā

I like PL but I just donāt have enough going on. I tried doing a month on two pages and that worked, but it also felt like too much/big and not enough at the same time. I really like the memory planner type format/size. My three ring binder one is half done and I like that I can easily add pages or PL cards, and how thereās room for how much thickness photos and embellishments add. I like the look of the flat book Stop The Blur planners but am worried that theyāll get too bulky to look tidy. Maybe thatāll force me to keep it simple and Iāll get it done LOL.

I use my planner as a planner. Sure I use a few stickers, but I'm not about the decorating. So I'm not your target audience for a regular planner thread.

I picked monthly because that is generally how I use my planner. Except it's actually a bullet journal so I tend to do monthly setups with space for notes, reminders, etc. It doesn't sound like it's similar to how the majority (your target audience) uses their planners. I follow several "bujo" planners on YouTube and the monthly set up works best for me with how I use mine. Weekly feels like work to me, LOL - I'm a very casual planner user.

Last week was very rough. I just wrote and stamped a couple of things. My son has now missed three days of school (weird medical stuff). Anyway, he's actually calm so I ignored the housework and had some crafting time! I used a variety of stamps, stickers, and printables. I felt like doing a Kawaii theme. It is still an adjustment using a smaller size. I am thinking of keeping it in my purse and making it more functional this year. Last year I was very inconsistent. My planner is where I use stuff that is hard for me to use up in scrapbooking or I have too much of a certain theme or product.

Sorry for not starting it yesterday. I took a break from the boards to enjoy the last week of break with my family. I will start one per month and that will allow people to post daily, weekly, or monthly. I figured that would be the best way so everyone could post.

I daily plan but I find that I'm always adding stuff after the fact because I'm not planning effectively (see what I did there) so I would love a weekly discussion.

I'm wondering how to use my planner for memory keeping. Maybe a thread here will give me some ideas? I have a planner that I used as a planner/agenda - to do lists, phone calls, grocery lists, dr appointments, planning stuff, etc. But I have some Heidi Swapp planners that I use as memory planners, and I call them my planner even though I donāt use it for any planning. For me theyāre a smaller and easier way to do a project life type style of scrapbooking. The ones I use are a week on two pages and Iāll add in photos (glued to page and not pocket pages), stamping, washi tape, letter stickers, and some stickers (scrapbook ones not the icons, or planner specific ones), or die cuts. Iād say there are fewer supplies needed but I seem to always āneedā something, but in general I think there are fewer supplies needed if anyone wants to do one. And a lot of the supplies arenāt scrapbook so theyāre easier to find and cheaper - you can use any planner for example, you donāt need pocket pages or inserts or a certain binder, you could get away with using just photos and a pen even - could doodle any decorations you wanted, colour them in with pencil crayons or whatever you have, etc. But if you want to play with scrapbooking paper and products then pretty much anything goes and you can decorate it as much as you like. It reminds me of the scrapbooks Iād make as a kid that were just newsprint notebooks with random stuff taped inā¦lol Or maybe like an Instagram version of scrapbooking - a photo or two and a little caption, maybe a sticker or emoji, and then call it done. Heidi Swappās Stop The Blur is probably the biggest version of it right now, but Iāve been out of things for a while so maybe thereās something else.
