Here is my take on the sketch. Changed the orientation and photo sizes, but stuck pretty close.

I had to adapt this quite a bit for my smaller pages but I love the end result and I think it's still clear I was inspired by the sketch  |

Linda I can definitely see the sketch in your finished page. I love how you've changed up the vertical piece to just one row, the patterns give a lot of impact to your page and it was the perfect adjustment to fit your smaller page size.
