For those who don’t want to click through, here are the salient paragraphs: “After Weldon’s death, her QAnon allies threatened to pursue violent action against staff at the hospital where they died. Scott McKay, a QAnon personality known as the “Patriot Streetfighter,” said he would publicize the names of doctors and nurses involved in treating Weldon, saying he wanted to “put the fear into these medical professionals” in a Telegram post. McKay proposed the hospital staff be sentenced to death, or be murdered in vigilante violence. “If it’s not done in a military tribunal then it’s going to be done in the street eventually and not to my wishes,” McKay wrote. “That’s my greatest fear. But if it’s necessary, it’s going to be necessary.””

So they want a military state? Or the wild west? They must have fantasies about being the Green Arrow.

So they want a military state? Or the wild west? They must have fantasies about being the Green Arrow. They love vigilante justice. It’s why they applauded Kyle Rittenhouse. Why they supported the terrorist attack on the Capitol. Why some of them feel empowered to shoot black men in the street. If it’s one of them doing the shooting, it must be justified.

Sadly medical workers can't and don't choose who to treat except in triage situations. There's a big part of me that says don't treat them if they believed they were above this virus, that they wouldn't catch it. It makes me spitting nails mad that these people get care and it is denied to others who did everything right but are old, or have many comorbid conditions, etc. But when I became a nurse, my vow wasn't only to care for those with whom I agreed, or those who were sensible. There are people who'd choose not to treat me, I'm sure, as I'm considered obese. But I can be reasonably healthy and obese, or very ill and slim. My meds make me fat. Does that make me less worthy? Some would say yes. That's why I see this reasoning as a slippery slope.

I don't care about treating unvaxxed patients, but ones who think they can threaten us? Go home and take your chances.

Agreed, while I understand the sentiment that people who selectively trust medicine are taking an idiotic stance, I would save the actual wittholding of care for people who threaten and intimidate healthcare workers.

All the medical staff were doing was trying to keep their patients alive. I guess if they refused to treat they would be targeted too Here's what I wrote in August: "Here is what scares the carp out of me: that the right-wing covid, vax, mask deniers (who are dying in numbers) will start putting the BLAME on the medical workers. It's already starting: "South Carolina tea party leader and GOP executive committeeman Pressley Stutts – one of the most well-known and effective organizers on the far right of the Palmetto State’s political spectrum – has succumbed to the delta variant of the coronavirus, multiple sources familiar with the situation have confirmed to this news outlet. Stutts died at around 5:00 a.m. EDT on Thursday morning, these sources confirmed. Stutts’ family and friends confirmed the news on his Facebook page shortly after 8:00 a.m. EDT. My news outlet first reported on Stutts’ battle with Covid-19 two weeks ago. I provided readers with an update on his deteriorating condition late Sunday. The former U.S. Navy chaplain was 64 years old. He is survived by his wife, Patty Stutts, who was also hospitalized with Covid-19 earlier this month, and their two children Pressley Stutts III and Bart Stutts. Stutts’ death immediately revived the political uproar over his decision not to be vaccinated against Covid-19 – as well as his alleged mistreatment at the hands of the Upstate doctors who managed his care over the last two weeks. “They killed him,” one of Stutts’ allies told me, referencing allegations made earlier this week by famed First Amendment attorney (turned conspiracy theorist) Lin Wood. “I’m so upset,” another of Stutts’ allies told me. “The hospitals are killing people.”" www.fitsnews.com/2021/08/19/south-carolina-tea-party-leader-succumbs-to-covid-19/When you deal in delusions and superstitions and conspiracy theories there are no holds barred. It can be your own or your family member's stupidity that got them dead. It MUST BE the big bad doctors and nurses doing it." 2peasrefugees.boards.net/post/3456776/thread

If they they think hospitals are killing people, then why are they showing up at the hospital for care in the first place??
Let them set up their own quack doctors who will treat them with cow manure, ocean water, and Flinestones vitamins and then decide if they want to bring violence against their own "health care providers" as well if patients still pass away.
