I thought I would try and update this monthly, as people have asked about it. I didn't post a photo of January/Feb or March (sorry! ) but I will try and do better! Here is my take on the April Kit. I left my OP below. Here is a link to Shimelle's shopping list. www.scrapbook.com/myplace/index.php?mod=shopping&u=1135013&m=wish&sscid=31k6_n7j0l
Paper: 10 sheets 12x12, Shimelle had 7, (with the exception of the Doodlebug pack, which I sub with cardstock) but some of mine is not double sided.
1 sheet of Heidi Grace/Fiskars Cherrywood Lane
2 sheet no-name (came out of some random DCWV stack) plaid, soft pink/pale yellow, pink/gray
1 sheet WR Memory Keepers White Out Collection
1 sheet Basic Grey Sweet Threads Edgy Stripe (last one! )
1 sheet Basic Grey Sweet Threads Spring Tote (last one!)
1 sheet WR Memory Keepers Inked Rose
1 sheet October Afternoon Willow Path
1 sheet Obed Marshall Buenos Dias Happy Mosaic
1 sheet Shimelle Never Grow Up Flutterby (I had this, and it was in the April kit)
1 6x6 pad of Pink Paislee Little Adventurer (mostly for punches and tags, it has seen some use, lol)
1 6x8 pad of Shimelle Head in the Clouds (might not use this, but grabbed it anyway, might be good for matting)
Stickopatomus stickers in random stars and flowers, liked the colors.
2 used Thickers sets, I think one is supposed to be for a birthday, but it has good colors and some non-birthday sayings.
2 stamp sets, Shimelle Never grow up and a random one I got at M's years ago.
3 oxide inks that I already own, Tumbled Glass, Wild Honey and Picked Raspberry. Shimelle has Saltwater Taffy in her kit for April, but I don't know if I actually need that ink. I don't tend to use a lot of peach. I'm on the fence. Anyway, I am using what I have.
Half used pack of Shimelle Never Grow Up Blooms.
Random journaling cards, some from Prima Nursery collection.
Additional cardstock in various colors.
Using my Cricut for titles and such.
Punches (probably my heart punch and star punch) for little bits and bobs.

So I made a goal to use more of my stuff, and shop my stash more in 2022. This ties in with the 50 pages challenge, 2peasrefugees.boards.net/thread/127348/50-layouts-before-shopping-challenge
and the Frozen/Chilly Peas 2peasrefugees.boards.net/thread/127118/2022-frozen-chilly-peas
I was watching Shimelle's new videos for 2022, and her thing is that she has a monthly kit she scraps from. She posts the supplies for the kit the month ahead of time on scrapbook.com and you can buy them, OR (and she is very clear about this) you can shop your stash and scrap along with her using your own supplies. As the month is new, I thought, what the heck, I will give it a try. So I watched her January 2022 kit video, where she shows what all you need and went "shopping" in my stash. www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNWyHJzbj-k
It took me about 45 min to assemble my "kit". I also pulled some tools I thought would be helpful. For the ephemra packs, I just pulled out some I thought would work and threw it in, knowing I could punch or pull other things if I needed to. As you can see when you watch the video, she has a very pastel-y color scheme for January, and I just don't generally scrap in those colors, although I am not opposed. And since my goal was to utilize what I had, especially some older stuff gathering dust, I picked a different color scheme.
I started with the busier papers, and built off that. If you don't have any camera paper, you could just use any paper with repeated images that could be cut out. I was concerned a little as I am typically a very theme scrapper, however I do have a bunch of photos that could really go with anything, such as walks, parks, a baptism from 2019, a random photo of my friends that I love, and others. So right now, Shimelle has the video for the kit up, and then she has done 2 videos using the kit. I went through the first video and did a page this morning and I really like it!!! I would have NEVER put these papers together, but it works and I used paper from over 10 years ago. Very gratifying! She does do some inking techniques, but I skipped that, and just used some paper that already came printed with a watercolor image. You could easily sub out another background page, or a plain sheet of cardstock. I also changed the picture size, because I just had a one of. But she does use 2, 4x6 which I appreciated!
I just so enjoyed this experince, as I felt like I was taking a class, only using my own supplies, and free! Free Free Free. Has anyone else done this? How did it go for you?

Video 2, the first page with the kit www.youtube.com/watch?v=RnJvuhwpaGM (this is the one I just did)

I am going to work on assembling the February Kit from my stash, the list is here www.scrapbook.com/myplace/index.php?mod=shopping&u=1135013&m=wish&sscid=11k6_8e76j
then at the end of January she will have a video where she goes over it all, so I'll watch that and make any adjustments I need. Because she uses a lot from one kit for February, I will pick a kit I already own that is either very neglected, or I will pick a partially used kit and fill in from my stash.
My take on her first page with the kit:
